Team Ninja announced earlier today that DOA5 will be getting a Free Downloadable version of DOA5U called DOA5U:CORE FIGHTERS.
This Free version will contain the following features:
?The core game is free to play, with some gameplay elements available for purchase.
?Four characters (Kasumi, Ayane, Ryu Hayabuse, and Hayate) are playable, along with every mode except Story mode.
Enjoy almost all DOA5U features at no cost!
?Fight not only with other players of the free version, but also with players of the retail version of DOA5U.
?Unlocked titles, costumes, and Story mode progress can be carried over from Dead or Alive 5 on PS3.
?At this time, the free version is only available on PS3. Check back for updates about a possible Xbox360 version.
So, basically this is like a demo version plus perks. Its a good opportunity for players new to the game to try it out before reaching a decision to buy it.
Team Ninja also announced that the characters no available for free in the “Core Fighters” version can be purchased individually at a minimal cost. So if you don’t care much for story mode and you don’t play the whole cast, then this version of the game might be just for you. 🙂
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: CORE FIGHTERS will be released alongside the Japanese release of DOA5U on the 6th of September 2013!
