KOF XIII TIERS

   FGC News   December 29, 2011  15 Comments

Htimsnug has posted a tier chart for KOF XIII, proclaiming it to be “more accurate than BB netcode”, notably with Nests Kyo on mid upper tier and Yuri on top.  What do you think?

    Thx! We discussed this on the ON show with the creator, and now it’s been updated to make it more clear. The numbers don’t actually mean anything – and now they’ve been removed. Top right is the top of top tier. As you drift left the character has more and more weaknesses, but is still at that tier. We’ll chat more about it on the next show!

    @ Gunsmith my interpretation is that the graph are like coordinates. Say a character is placed in the “Top Tier and All Purpose” quadrant it may stand for a top tier char which serves an all purpose role say he’s good at zoning, rushdown with little to no weakness were as “Top Tier and Has Weakness” he is considered top tier with a glaring weakness such as being a poor zoner but excellent rushdown capabilities which could deal damage with little use of meter or drive gauge. My 2 cents

    I’m not sure if anyone is using this correctly… for example, the top right corner would actually be the place to put the no1 top tier character because it means they are top tier ONLY. If you put them anywhere else to the right or left, it means they share qualities with “all purpose” and “has weakness”.

    I don’t know how to read the chart 100%. If they’re on the very top, does that mean they’re the “toppest” of the top-tier?

    Also, what’s up with the quadrants? Do they have any significance?

    will try this out 🙂

    Funnily enough I was going to say the same thing but didn’t want to sound pervy! The top three bust sizes according to kof98 stats were Shermie Vice and Mature – but well, that’s 98. I dunno, maybe dead breasts don’t count?

    @Relffs
    I call BS on that chart…Vice and Mature BIGGER…but i guess since they don’t wear exposing stuff like Mai lol. And yeah what Gunsmith said

    Baited successfully! Why don’t you try making one? Just drag and drop…

    The tier made by Reiffs is 90% accurate – I think Kensou and Duolon should be with Ash and Saiki.

    As much as I like the tier list it is a bit off.

    Diamon is to the far to the right which indicates he is all purpose. Diamon is not good from full screen so this is innaccurate.

    Clark being in the all purpose side of things also makes very little sense too.

    If yopu want to be considered all purpose then essentially you need to be a threat from anywhere on the screen or can at least play anywhere on the screen so to say the least the left to right organisation is off.

    Characters like Mature and Leona are nicely placed as they have slow moving projectiles but can at least threaten from distance, just not that well. I personally would have them closer to the centre but that’s just me, that’s where oppinion comes into play.

    Andy being on the has weaknesses side and clark being on the all round side is actually a joke but hey it’s not my list.
