In the USA, you will find the butcher’s cut named T-bone, but in Europe, they have different cuts such as Sirloin, Entrecôte, Ribeye, fillet

Then when you order the waiter will ask, how would you like your steak?  How would you like it done?  

Done = how much it is cooked

Some people get upset about how you cook your steak.  It’s similar to arguing about which game is the best.

Word check: to Ruin =  Destroy / cause great problems for someone / lead someone to their end.  To be ruined.

Steaks in France

Blue rare = Bleu
Rare = Saignant
Medium rare = un peu saignant
Medium = rosé
Medium well = à point
Well done = très cuit
