So we’re hunting for arcades & gamebars eh? Here’s the guide to the arcades in Akiba, mostly based on personal experience. HEY is a recommended visit, just to see all the floors of machines, plus the famous 10 yen Super Turbo and KOF98 machines, where you can fight with other tourists! The serious FGC goes to Club Sega 1 (pictured below) and heads to the basement, where all the fighters are. For a more comfortable and fun event or tournament, head out to Shotbar Lucy.

Hi! I just found your page while trying to remember the names of the arcades I frequented while in Akihabara. The last time I was there was the end of January 2010 and I just thought you’d like to know that both Tokyo Leisure Lands are still there. At the time I didn’t know they were the same company, but they were both my favorite arcades in Akiba! But I focus on UFO Catchers rather than video games and both of these seemed to be more cranes than video games. TLL 1 had more video games than TLL 2.
