Colour Unlocks DLC Now Available
North American and Asian Territories can now purchase the colour unlock DLC on PSN and XBL, meaning that grinding is no longer necessary, this is a bonus for those who play on both systems.
It costs $3 or 240 MS points.
It should be available for EU owners shortly.

Yup, as Eben said. The more you play a character in versus or arcade mode, the more colours you unlock for them. However there is a glitch that resets the unlocked colours, occasionally (but won’t affect your edits).
@KNORKX: well, i don’t think it was random. It was just your playcount of each character, online or in offline versus. 😉
However, online occasionally reversed your playcount on characters for no reason… I hope this is fixed via patch, since I hate un-unlocking things, plus they’re gonna make a patch for netcode anyway.
what means “grinding is no longer necessary?” Do you mean the random unlocking of colours by playing online?
