When I visited, this was the hype, as you can see from the queue. It also won an award from Trip Advisor for overall ratings. They have a branch in Ikebukuro, which doesn’t help if you want a quiet meal.
Their ratings are so high because of their broth and pork. While the photo below doesn’t seem generous, there was plenty of pork beneath the surface. The service was brisk, obviously you feel hurried because of the poor people waiting outside.
Personally, I felt the much touted broth wasn’t as good as Ichiran’s. But, the pork was better for sure. So, if you like tender roasted meat, go to Mutekiya!
