Pet Chop III

Evelyn reached the other side of the road; instinctively, reached down into her pocket to pull out her phone.  It wouldn’t be long now till she was home, so she needed to kill these last few arduous and testing minutes as quickly as possible.  No notifications from Marvin, well, no big deal.  She zoomed around the trough, but there was nothing tasty related to Pet-Chop.  Where had he seen these rarities?  Now she was annoyed.  She went back to the chat to check she wasn’t the last to speak, otherwise she’d have to wait for him to reply (no way was she going to send two messages in a row, now that’s just too much).  She then noticed his icon was greyed out.  Ah, somehow she had blocked him.  Strange, it must have happened while in her pocket, as her fingers brushed around, away from the cold. She undid the block and then the picture of the mushroom monster arrived.  Oh that’s big, she thought.  She reacted to the picture with a heart emoji.  There, she thought, all good now, and waited for a response.

Weak from blood loss, Marvin heard the bell and mustered the strength to check his phone, perhaps for the last time.  Oh wait, he perked up, there was a reply from Evelyn?!  He was unblocked?  Did she change her mind?  Or perhaps it was a pocket-block?  He quickly grabbed the nearby toilet roll and started bandaging his seeping wrist.  Hmm, perhaps he should call an ambulance.  But no, that could wait, he noticed the heart emoji!!!  It was a black heart, but it was a heart all the same!  Awesome!!  Now, to write something.  He thought about playing it cool, a bit distant.  After all, he was no simp.

“So,” he typed, wiping away the spatter of blood, “I did some research, this is probably a fake.  But I’ll go looking for it tonight, and I tell you what, if I find one, and it’s small, I’ll let it go, but if it’s a big one, I’ll send you a pic, ok?”

“Yeah I wanna see one, I don’t care if it’s big or small.  Would be great if it was massive though, I’d jump right on it! Well, good hunting!”, she replied, as she turned on her PC.  She sent with a thumbs up emoji, put her phone down and picked up her controller.  Good hunting indeed, she thought, as she was gonna find that big ass mushroom maniac and smash it hard, perhaps she could get her Lamb-chopper to swallow it whole, one of his qualities being his really big mouth.  She could imagine the nutrients flowing inside her furry fiend, making it shine with that pulsating sound effect, making it grow super strong or possibly evolve!  She ran with glee, and jumped onto her Chopper, riding fast into the woods.  After circling the area for ten minutes, she grew weary and went back to a higher level area. She noticed players coming in and out, ahhh, now this certainly was a hot spot.

Later that night, she took a break to go relieve her poor strangulated bladder.  As the sound of whooshing liquid faintly echoed in the small room, she checked in on Marvin.

“How goes the hunt?” she wrote.
