Haregoro is known as a master of stun combos in both KOF XIII and KOF XV. This time, he shared some of his memories, including his trips to Korea and the United States!

I participated in the KOF13 division of EVO2013. It was my first overseas trip. I’m still so grateful to Miu and the others for their encouragement before I left, and to Gunsmith for supporting my activities! Thank you so much for everything back then!

I finished in a tie for 13th place at the tournament. At EVO 2013, I lost to FOX (now kitsune, I think?) and Koukou. I still remember being surprised by the high level of competition overseas, as the player I fought before FOX (who was using En’an, Karate, and Shen) was very strong. I enjoyed playing matches and socializing at the event. It  ‘s always great to connect with fellow enthusiasts who share the same hobby, no matter where you go!

By the way, I participated in a national team competition hosted by the Korean team with Gosho-san and Koukou-san, and we won!

The following year, he participated in the IGP2014 held in South Korea, where he finished in a tie for 9th place.

A 10-on-10 Japan vs. Korea tournament was held at the event. However, at the time, there were only five KOF13 players participating in the tournament: myself, Kantoku, Moa, Koukou, and Tokido.

Five players who had participated in SF4 tournaments and played KOF13 joined us: Furida, Eita, Kazunoko, Mago, and MOV.

I especially want to thank these five people! If I were in their position, I don’t think I could have helped. Thank you so much for that time!

The event was a close battle, with Japan winning 10-9!! During my turn, I was humming the song “Hotaru no Hikari” (Glow of the Fireflies), and there were people there!

Could you tell me about this painting? What happened in it?

The photo with the messages of support was given to my friends, including Mew, just before I left for Las Vegas for EVO 2013. It contains messages of encouragement from friends I often played against and those who watched my matches. It’s an irreplaceable memory for me!

Recent achievements and thoughts/opinions on them

Tied for 25th place in the EVO JAPAN 2026 Fatal Fury: CotW division.
I defeated kaizer, who was in the same pool, but lost 1-2 to both xiaohai and abao. I had a high win rate in matches using Joe, so I felt I did better than my ranking suggests.

Tied for 13th place in the KGP2026 Fatal Fury: Code of War division.
I lost to kubo and omen.

If the Garou Densetsu CotW (Court of War) tournament is held next year, I would really like to go on an overseas tour next year!!

My machine is the Dancouga. It’s a really cool machine! I’ve been able to achieve good results when participating in offline events!

Please explain what actually happened regarding things that viewers seem to have misunderstood.

My victory at EVO 2013 came after I defeated miso soup (I think that’s the correct name; I remember it being Japanese food) in the pool finals and advanced through the winners’ bracket. The match was also broadcast live. I was fidgeting and moving around a lot at the time, but that was because the venue was very cold.
