He has gold, but I don't think it matters. It was hooked up in one part of his house that had ethernet running to it, so we had internet, and the DLC characters were there, but then we had to move the system elsewhere without ethernet, and without internet access the DLC characters were gone. So yeah, it is bullshit that I happily gave them my 10 dollars and they can't even bother to let me access the content anywhere. I can imagine this could cause problems for tournaments in venues that don't offer internet access, and frankly it is just a generally dickheaded way to do things. If it is an anti-piracy measure, then it's done a pretty piss poor job considering pirates have had all three EX characters long before any honest consumer anyway. I guess when the game says "Checking Downloadable Content..." after the title screen, it isn't checking the storage device to see if it is available, but if the Gamertag has been flagged as having purchased it, which is to say that the "downloadable content" isn't just an unlock code, but a conditional unlock code. It sure is fun being treated like a criminal.

That doesn't make sense about moving data even with a Gold account. Give SNKP or Atlus a heads up about this issue.
