They said that it depended on fan demand. Supposedly they underhandedly spoke of doing a "more refined than the console version" for the arcade if that was what the audience demanded. By "demand", all of this is probably directed to Japan though, since Asia is pretty much the only sector where big money is circled and where they always prefer arcade over console. Is the Arcade version gonna be updated also? Or should it be different making K near an absolute different character?
If the Arcade is gonna be updated, what version should I look for? I am playing actually the 1.3 IIRC

An refined version of the Arcade release that is based upon the console version, would be released on NESiCAxLiVE in the lieu of Continuum Shift II .Toxic Avanger wrote:They said that it depended on fan demand. I'd figure you guys want Sherime as DLC.hadoolket wrote:you should know exactly who plenty of us want to seeMikelAL93 wrote:October is just two months away, lets hope we can get faster to it. XDThe Master wrote:Awaiting this... october couldn't come faster! arrgh!
Anyway, about DLC, what do you guys hope to see (Characters, stages, additional features)?

Anyway, when it comes to the English Dub... I know that the game won't have it, but the reasons of why I wanted the game to have one are here:
1). I just feel the need for the game to have an English and Japanese voice setting so fans won't have to play the game with just English voices, they can just switch to Japanese if they like the Japanese voices better.
2). With Story Mode as one of the new modes in the Console Release, I can tell greatly that there will be some or a lot of voice work done for the new story mode. SNK even got Atlus, who always hires good voice actors, so it wouldn't make sense if Atlus didn't help SNK provide the English voice acting for KOF XIII.
3). The cutscenes and the Endings from the Arcade Version have dialogue, but no Japanese/English voices. I mean, if it were to have Japanese/English voices, we can understand who is saying what better than how the Arcade Version's English text does.
4). Sony's policy states that any Japanese-developed game with Japanese voice acting that is released physically on disc for the PS3 must have an English Dub if it were to be released on Disc. Otherwise, it will be released on PSN, in which is one of my biggest fears, the other being the netcode.
And yes, I know that the game won't have an English Dub, but I wanted to post the reasons of why I suggested for one because I feel that I would like to share my reasons here.

Oh well... Maybe next time, or probably DLC.

Atlus updated their site today, and among the revelations in the K' team's story is that they only entered KOF because Chin bribed Kula with ice cream to join the tournament.

That's up there with Dudley from SF3 looking for his father's car and Jeffry from Virtua Fighter being bribed by the mob with a kidnapped shark that is his rival as far as bizarre and nonsensical reasons to join a fighting tournament. It is definitely the most creepy and pedophiley fighting game plot point.

Didn't you read about it before in the arcade version? I have to admit though that it kinda was like the only team story that interested me from the arcade. Also I kinda remember that this is not the most stupid reason that K' team had to enter a KoF, some of their other team stories are equallySonicTempest wrote:Atlus updated their site today, and among the revelations in the K' team's story is that they only entered KOF because Chin bribed Kula with ice cream to join the tournament.

Jp blog updated, it was just details about their latest showing of the game

Getting to catch up with the team stories is quite fun. But some tales are bizarre, yet worth taking the trip.
I am curious to find out, just who the wrap up team may be in XIII (like Kyo, Iori, and Chizuru unlocked the true ending back in 2k3)

It's obvious that is Ash & Liz team. Ash creates the events that destroy the evil godammit Batman plans from this week bad guys, and Liz team are left there as the only witnesses to Ash sacrifice. Actually if we judge it by the edit ending; everyone forgets what was actually happening behind the tournament(s) sans the Liz team, due to the change in the time stream.kadosho wrote:Getting to catch up with the team stories is quite fun. Time stream? Wait they pulled a time plot? And now I'm speechless. But for once a solid wrap-up to Ash's saga, would be nice.
Only time will tell if there are more surprises.

Again this is totally me being a KOF nub , but I'm pretty sure from what I understand people are glad it's finally ending. They're tired of Ash hogging the spotlight or something , is this true? XD. I find it kinda true , though he/she/he did wonders for the series esp among some anime fan chicks.Toxic Avanger wrote:It's obvious that is Ash & Liz team. Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
honestly, i find that the ending to this saga was the most dramatic, which is pretty ironic because ash probably one of the most hated characters in the series, but i guess all that antipathy does create the tension for drama. i also find it funny that snkp claimed they created saiki to be a "despicable" villain, but ash garnered more hate at least from the us side of things than saiki did. i can't find anyone who reacts strongly to saiki, but ash gets either "what a hot chick" or "GOD I FUCKING HATE THAT GUY"The Monster wrote:Again this is totally me being a KOF nub , but I'm pretty sure from what I understand people are glad it's finally ending. but if ash and liz are a team, shouldn't there be a required third person?
ps k`127 i was fucking serious, don't you dare say i was "trolling" you dingleberry

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
Figures. I mean honestly though Saiki just looks like Ash and even that aside She (or is that a guy too) isn't very villiany or scary at all. The demon form reminds me too much of Gill from 3S. Ugh I don't get it , Dark Ash just rubs me the wrong way too. If they put that in as DLC that'll honestly be very half assed IMO. Then you'd have 3 Ashs >_>. It's so true though , everyone always just says "omgawd so hawt" (not knowing it's a dude ,well wtf do you expect) , or people are like "Omg go away you David Bowie wannabe". XD Seriously chicks dig characters like Ash , I swear it's pretty weird.hadoolket wrote:honestly, i find that the ending to this saga was the most dramatic, which is pretty ironic because ash probably one of the most hated characters in the series, but i guess all that antipathy does create the tension for drama. i also find it funny that snkp claimed they created saiki to be a "despicable" villain, but ash garnered more hate at least from the us side of things than saiki did. i can't find anyone who reacts strongly to saiki, but ash gets either "what a hot chick" or "GOD I FUCKING HATE THAT GUY"The Monster wrote:Again this is totally me being a KOF nub , but I'm pretty sure from what I understand people are glad it's finally ending. IDK whatever they do next they should try and kick it oldskool with it's main characters or basically pick some guys off the roster and try mixing it up. Or just create some new guys all together who don't suck..

already kinda knew that about the arcade stuff, but thanks. i was just wondering hypothetically about a special special ending
the best villain that snk has ever created imo, to this very day, is geese (he's also my favorite fighting game villain)
he's a a cutthroat arrogant asshole with lots of power and influence in his area, he doesn't need to get naked to be "despicable" (now how is that despicable, maybe they meant "repulsive" and that only goes for homophobes), he actually fucks with people personally and doesn't afraid of anything, and he's done things that have affected people in deep and personal ways
as i've said in the past, saiki just comes off as a throw-away villain that littlekuriboh would make fun of in his abridged videos, fear his generic motives
he has plans to do bad things, but it's not so much personal as it is "we gotta band together to stop him!!! with the power of teamwork we can do anything, and thank goodness kof is a team-based game!!!!" but he fails to drive any personal, emotional response out of anyone
maybe if he did something to ash's mom or something?

Geese Howard is a freakin legend. It kinda blows my mind how few games he's appeared in. I don't really know anything about Saiki but like I said just from seeing him , I'm convinced by what you say that he's just MEH as hell. Geese not only was a powerful leader and messed with everyone on personal levels but the guy is extremely skilled in fighting and is just plain brutal. That right there registers as a villian. Let's face it , he's SNK's Akuma , M . Bison , Heihachi or whoever you wish to compare him to on a heavy villian status. Guy deserves to come back and be in most of these games and be bad ass , and more advanced to play. I mean frankly I hope he comes back after this story line.
