Re: Japan Match Videos
The latest batch of vids from KCE is nice, but after watching half a dozen of them, it's pretty much Kyo/Raiden/Mature vs Kyo/K'/Kula...it's good to know how to fight against Raiden, but really, the whole thing gets boring after a while.

You beat me to it, yet you missed most of the vids.Dark_Chaotix wrote: second vid is entertaining to watch....Has Shen and Maxima in it.
Unlike something like..... The previous 2 batches from the encyclopedia, this one doesn't disappoint at all (except the good old infinity whoring moment here and there).
はれごろ~ is cool to watch.
Some notes from the vids :
- Maxima has a bug where his standing A will add bar regardless of connecting or not, details are unknown (though the player knew how to trigger this).
- As suspected, Raiden can use air kicks without losing the charge time for the drop kick, similarly to how he can use a guard CD without losing it.
- This has been pretty much clear since near the start but I don't remember people speaking about it... Mature's infinite doesn't seem to work on large characters (the infinite relies on catching the character at a certain specific height, playing against a large character makes catching them at that height impossible since they are bigger and you can't properly time how deep the attack lands against them, I haven't noticed if that applies to short characters (like Chin)). Joe's infinite should be the same since it relies on a similar concept.
... Following that, はれごろ~ should have gotten better results by placing Maxima as the last character (since most of his losses where due to the infinite)... Then again, ひろと could have placed Mature at the start to evade that match up.... I remember facing situations like that (fighting vs character specific bug match ups) a lot in 99'.

K' galore, funny since he comes from a MP clones based storyline.... No big name that I know of in there.

Re: Japan Match Videos
Sisters vs KCE? I better hope to be reading this the wong way.... Anyway, it's an Encyclopedia batch uploaded by smoai (I'm currently watching it); let's hope that this batch is one of the fun ones and not one of those Kyo x K' x Iori yaoi doujin akin line ups. A~ya has a cool Duo, and seems that he usually saves Kim for the last, so there might be some magic there as well.
Dune reacted like a school girl against all of those (obviously unknown to him) tactics of the opposing team.... Yet he still went on and won the thing.

Re: Japan Match Videos
We have the return match on the kyodai vs encyclopedia thing... As usual most of the vids are tier whoring, but you can still see some type of action with other characters like Leona. I actually noticed the videos some time ago, but confused them with the previous batch of 姉妹 vs KCE.
There are some pretty cool plays over here (for example, in one opportunity Duo Lon does a 95' style cross over, where you stand next to the enemy character, and then perform a kara cancel and the special move hits the enemy from behind. Marvelous (this happens in the 12th vid, second fight).

Re: Japan Match Videos
A-cho just posted their Tougeki qualifiers on their Youtube channel. Potentially good character variety (I see at least one Terry/Andy user).

Re: Japan Match Videos
Checking Nico today I noticed that the KCE prinny dudes uploaded another 【KMR無し】 set of vids. They also uploaded some KRM available vids, but they aren't in youtube just yet. This isn't as interesting as the previous batch... And perhaps that has to do with the little detail that the neechans ( kyodai / shimai ) aren't there (as they didn't usually mained 【KMR】 anyway)
You can pretty much tell that most of the characters where "in the try out" stages.... I suppose that they are training so that they don't get beaten by the "girls" again; considering how they pretty much aced the first (tier allowed) "VS" encounters.
