was googling a few recent titles and this came out:

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai is getting an anime. Currently we know no studio, nor staff, nor release date for the anime. We only know that they are doing it.

If I had to review it, I'll say that it's a story about a guy that has nothing on his life but galges, and gets cheated out by a female dumb devil and has to chase real life girls or die. While the premise looks generic and bland, the series manage to keep itself going in it's own funny mood better than it should. Oh, and there is a bunch of old / new games references through the story (Like bugs in Super Mario Bros 1 and stuff), I really liked that and hope that they can add them despise possible copyrights (This is something studios are very sensible about).

That series is awesome. Watched it a couple years back.

Looking at that Shinsengumi Kitan show now- I know it's for horny women, but the men aren't annoying, and it's actually a good show- even if I fear it turning into Yaoi every ep.

Durarara is still good but the latest developments have been kind of predictable, at least for me

Otherwise I'm not watching anything new atm. I have no idea what's good anymore. I actually watched Index and Railgun for some reason. Index was okay, I like that it's pretty dark, the main character isn't one of those annoying whiny types (aside from the "fukou da" thing), and there's something inherently satisfying about seeing him slug random magic users in the face every other episode. Other than that the story was pretty meh. Railgun is absolute garbage though.

Started watching Durarara on CR (in HD!) Pretty good so far.

Other than that I'm basically looking at watching older series that I missed on Hulu (Baccano!, Darker than Black, etc)

Final got and started watching Fafner in the Azure, standard Real Robot fare, kid got forced into mecha, becomes pro, defends his home and friends, add some emoness, the usual, though I've forgotten how entertaining something like that can still be. Nice mecha designs, lots of bromance between main characters (one of them being a total trap), a bit of Evangelion feel to it all, all well and good.

And lent both seasons of Big O to a mate the moment they arrived, can't wait to get it back and watch it once I'm done with Fafner.

And still need to finish with Shin Mazinger. =_= And I'm still keen to give Kotetsushin Jeeg a try.

Kotetsushin Jeeg's pretty good. You should definitely check it out. Also, Shin Mazinger is great but I really hope it gets a sequel. The story still has plenty of unanswered questions. I won't say anymore, so as not to spoil you.

Watching a bit of that Seint Seiya lost canvas. It seems pretty straightforward, but it's a really nice looking show, and has good characters.

I can't complain, especially given modern standards.

so ehi new eva, mild spoilers i guess but nothing to fuss about if you are 40 years old like Gunsmith.

I'm not sure what to think of it, the personality issues/miscommunication are all so less complicated and painful( and most things work out in the end more or less) that it doesn't even feel like eva anymore. Fights are all hotblooded and such, with a whole lot of fairly noticeable cg(not that is particularly bad or anything)

The new character... well... it goes like this

- fights in the prologue, talks to herself;
- falls from the sky on Shinji's face, smells him;
- later, bounces tits, puts on perfume;
- goes bosou w/ stolen eva, talks to herself;

literally she exchanges 4 lines with Shinji, otherwise she 's just too cool to enter in the storyline, but i guess she has enough character development for hentai.

Also lol at Asuka new suit, it's basically out of a porn game, it even has fake tanlines on her chest. Besides, isn't her name different? what gives?

But ehi still pretty enjoyable, i'm not a big fan of the original series so i don't really mind it's a whole lot different.

Mari is a Mary Sue. Anno has apparently said as much. He purposefully put a Mary Sue in Evangelion, much like fanfiction writers do.

Asuka's surname changed to make all surnames match a corresponding Japanese WW2 destroyer.
