Strawberry Panic

Episode #19 finally got to explain the who, what, when, how and why of the other late Etoile: Kaori Sakuragi.
It is one sad episode, in a literal way, some blogger told me that the anime Kaori is better than manga Kaori as in she appeared less "fangirl", so it is likely a plus. I should be all raving and ranting about this one frame where both Shizuma are Kaori are lying on the grass... The later part reminded me it is not really the time.
It was like a female Brokeback Mountain in a private all-girl school, with an Air-like conclusion.

The great winner of this episode is Hitomi Nabatame for her great performance. The contrast with the usual "RAWR SEXBEAM ON NAGISA'S WEAK POINT FOR MASSIVE LIBIDO DAMAGE" Shizuma and the Shizuma in the flashback was just wowing.

I hate Powerpuff Girls, both original or japanese equally.

Have anyone watched Witchblade aka MILFblade? What's your opinion on it so far?

I am thinking about watching it because the female lead is a mom and is voiced by Mamiko Noto (Voice actress of Yakumo, Hazuki, Hecate...)

Witchybrade is okay. As well as you could expect from Gonzo anyway. The action is decent, and the characters are more interesting than you'd think. Mamiko does a nice job as always. Masane has daioppai, and DVD version has crotch shots. But technically she's not a MILF, if that's a major selling point for you.

Pretty much. I like the Powerpuff Girls, and honestly, the anime of it sucks hard.

The long-ass transformation sequence = Fail.

Text is mostly blurry, except for the Hirano Aya interview (last page). SS might want to do all the Haruhi fans a service and translate the pages, but I'll be damned if I spend hours squinting at the blurry text.

If it's absolute information you want: The 2nd season of Haruhi is *not* announced yet. The closest you get is on the 3rd scan, where the directors (I think) say, in response to the question "So, how about a 2nd season?": "It'd be nice if we could grant all the wishes of all the Haruhi fans out there..." and "If Haruhi herself would say something "SURE, WE'LL DO IT", there might be one after all..."

I heard that this issue sold *REALLY* well for Newtype, despite the lack of actual information about a new season.

I heard that particular article was about the second DVD rather than a second season, though.
