Okaaaaaaaaaay...that was a pretty weird episode. K1 being the mouthpiece of Oyashiro-sama's curse and all, but it still doesn't explain Rika's death. Instead of K1 dying, everybody else dies. Wow, K1 has racked up far more deaths than the 4 main girls combined! I don't think they can now beat his 1000+ deaths record.

The only concrete things we learned about in this arc is that Takano probably has something to do with the photographer's death (for a reason that's still unknown) and that Satoko was responsible for the Oyashiro-sama statue hand being broken off. Ooishi's dubious nature is also starting to come to light.

And oh, K1 is super intelligent. Intelligent enough to bring around an axe to somebody's house in broad daylight.

The last episode for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has been broadcasted.

Kyoto Animation earned, rightfully, its place as one of my favorite studios, along with Madhouse, I.G Production and Ghibli.
They managed to stay true to the original material, yet can put in some twists of their own. I heard Tanigawa also got an input for the series, being the one suggesting the episode orders. They seems to have listened to him and this how a studio earn my praises and respect.


This final episode left me a god-like level of joy I cannot describe, yet it left me so blue because it is the last one. And what a final! The music (the one during the "attack" comes in mind), the work on the atmosphere before and during the "incident", the characterization delievered by the voice actors, the cinematography.

The episode 14 get in my top 5 favorite final episode, along with Gungrave, Lodoss To Senki, Kimagure Orange Road and Cowboy Bebop.

They will have a sequal which i can only come up with 2 reasons
1)The Novel have enough material to carry on the a sequal and while the sequel is being air more material is being produce by the author
2)TMOHS is too popular to be killed off by one season,if they really did kill off im gonna slit everyone working at KyoAni for not doing a sequal.

Just watched finished Air and ...it turned out totally different from what I expected it to be in the first place. Heavy in symbolism and drama, especially from Episode 5. Animation is again, top notch from Kyoto Animation. And it was a treat to see a Kanon cameo, which makes me look forward to how they'll animate Kanon if they can give the same high-quality adaptation to another Key visual novel.
