What?!?! it's better than ep 10,Very cool Space battle animations which awesome music..Kyoani really outdid themsleves this time.Sheba wrote: The one who says Yuki is the superior quiet, taciturn, stoic girl.
Hell, they had 10 years to refine the stereotype.
EDIT 2: d/led the 11th episode of Haruhi. MOAR NAGATO PWNAGE! Like I said earlier, the space battles can be seen as tributes to shows like "Captain Harlock" or "Legend of the Galaxy Heroes". The idea of alternating beep version and normal version of classic music was clever. While it was not as thrilling as the 10th episode, it was one of those episodes appealing to Nagato's fans. Heck, for some reason, she have been drawn cuter. Or maybe they wanted to show that the events she had gone through, or triggered herself made her more "human"?
Can I have one?
And I thought anime was dead

I can't imagine the amount of screencapping that must have gone into this gif.

Episode 11 of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni = Hmm... I don't really see how K1 is that 'intelligent' since in the previous episodes and even in this episode now, he still does a bunch of really stupid things.
I wonder what was Takano hiding in her car trunk? HMMMMM

Watching Shuffle! in the mean time now. For a harem anime, it's surprisingly well-developed story- and plot-wise.
I thought the main male lead sounded really familiar, only to later find out that he's the same VA for Kyon in TMOHS. Awesomeness. The VA for Takano in Higurashi is also a VA for one of the characters in Shuffle!, albeit with a slightly younger and flirtier voice to suit her character. Double awesomeness.

Episodes 19 and 20 of Shuffle! was pure drama win. It's painful to watch but these two episodes really fleshed out Kaede's character. Very refreshing to actually watch some progress and changes happen to Rin and a couple of other characters, instead of the usual "let's all be friends" ending for such genre. Of course the final episode of Shuffle! is still reminiscent of this pathway but at least at the end, one girl among the group is clearly more important in the eyes of Rin and the other girls too have changed.
Too bad the animation of the last few episodes was a bit lower in quality but overall it was still good. Rin's choice for his girlfriend is rational and the most emotionally stable and compatible.
Plus I'm a big fan of bokukko characters. *growl*

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWLING IIIIIIIIIN MY SKIIIIIIIIIIIN
Jokes aside, the section where Haruhi really belts it out really takes balls to animate and lip-synch, especially with such an unattractive-looking singing part. But this really shows how the level of attention that Kyoto Animation pays in this respect.
The timing of the instrument playing animation with the music was really impeccable. Incredibly smooth...sometimes too smooth, as though they were real life action shots. And the tiny little details such as the perspiration dripping off Haruhi's face as she's intensely singing. I don't ever recall a single concert episode from Beck having such attention to details (though to be fair Haruhi isn't a 24 anime episode series).
Minor criticism: there was one really weird transition scene of Kyon coming out of the classroom after visiting Itsuki's classroom. The background scene suddenly changed to a different background, as though Kyon had suddenly teleported to another hallway. It's too jarring an effect so I think it's most likely a production mistake.
