*cough* I'm on the higurashi side in the (nonsensical) higurashi vs tmohs (stupid) war

I think we've done pretty well to bring light to at least these two animes

and I thought anime was dead

*checks out Ouran*

Edit: Does REC have a longer name? It's hard to find this anime using search engines...

Gun x Sword and Trinity Blood killed my interest in anime for a while, until I saw Shakugan no Shana. It is when I started to get interest in the newer productions again.

*watches episode 8 of Higurashi*

Hmm...I'm not sure what's going on at the moment. Who killed who what now? Was it Mion at the end? Or was it Shion? What happened to the scene at the beginning of the arc that showed Rika stabbing herself in the head? Was that how she 'saved' K1? Or is that foreshadowing for a future arc? While watching all 4 episodes of the 2nd arc, I felt like I had skipped an episode as some things weren't clear (though the 1st arc still had some unresolved mysteries, it was less confusing without the twincide and followup of the beginning scene of K1 killing both Rena and Mion).

A lot of things don't seem to add up at the moment; even conflicting with the first arc. The first arc suggest that there is a sci-fi element theme where the girls might have been brainwashed by some evil mastermind. Then in the second arc, it switches to a plot where Mion's yakuza family is only involved instead of just Rena. There're even supernatural elements (Takano's death 24 hours before trespassing the storeground, and Shion/Mion appearing at the hospital). What could the photographer/nurse have seen at the temple that makes it worth keeping a secret even to die for?

The only things that we've learned from this arc is:

- Both photographer and nurse probably saw something that they didn't mean to at the storeshed. What was it? Are the ancient torture instruments that taboo? Maybe it's the statue with the missing hand?
- Mion/Shion belongs to the Yakuza family...which sorta explains why she'd been carrying that gun around publicly (it's been bugging me ever since I've noticed it in episode 1)
- Mion's family have connections with the temple, probably as the family responsible with carrying out the Hinamizawa/Onigafuchi customs.
- Everybody's fucked up there (but you all know that already)

I hope the future arcs will explain all this inconsistencies lest it be evidence that the series' plot is beginning to crumble like flaky apple pie. Still, the killer lolis antics continue to entertain and creep me out. The next arc suggests it's going to focus on Satoko's missing elder brother, Satoshi. Hmm...

Oh yeah, I wonder why the series is adamnant to state in the beginning that the events took place in 1983. Perhaps closer to the end of the series, the ending will probably be about the present, which would reveal the 'True Good Ending', reminiscent of other visual novels multiple story endings.

Now when's Episode 10 of Haruhi coming out? I've read it's got the kickass fight scene with Yuki and Mikuru's birthmark revelation!

YES!

YES!!!!!

Yuki fight scene = short but sweet. 10 episodes in and not a drop in animation or cinematography quality so far. Props to Kyoto Animation!

Too bad the next episode doesn't seem that interesting. But this should mean that episode 12, 13, and 14 should be the last 'Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' episodes...unless they cram another filler episode in Episode 13 (the Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody chapter looks to be the case)...which I hope not because this would mean really rushing through the last chapter of the novel.

Mikuru is a Joestar, she could time travel because of her Stand!

Doesn't the episode shuffle look like a wise choice now? I mean in term of build-up.

Indeed, and following the novels' format it isn't really surprising especially with the various side stories that came later.

God I don't know how many times I've rewatched the Yuki fight scene. It's really that cool.

So yeah, just recently watched up to Ep. 22 of Noein. It really is one of the best animes I've ever watched. I hope they sub Ep. 23 soon, because the wait is torture.

Fate/Stay Night seems like a harem anime now. But, considering its source material, that's not surprising.

It's a furry cartoon disguised as a furry anime! Stop watching it! >:D

The main female lead looks familiar...is she from a H-game by Leaf studio? Designed by Zepy's favourite artist? (can't remember her name at the moment)

I heard good reviews about Noein. Will probably download and watch it when I've cleared more space from my laptop.
