My NYR was to not visit stupid rom anymore because time is even tighter this year.
Tis the usual nerdy lack of confidence, the fear of a dirty look if you touch a booth babe. However, babe booths are totally used to this. What you should do is watch someone else take a photo first and see where they put their hands then you don't have to worry. One of my friends goes to loads of shows where he can take photos of himself surrounded by pretty women and at least rest his hands on their hips. It's funny how the rest of us want to say something like "yeah that's the only way he'll get to touch women" but we're still jealous/can't be arsed to do the same thing.
Now the other situation looks like a photo taken with office friends or girls met in a bar, where the nerd has asked to take a photo and shat themselves with the idea of touching strangers. It IS risky. I probably wouldn't attempt to touch them unless there's been some close dancing at least before hand, but taking photos is generally a nerdy thing to do with strangers you've just met. As for office friends, well... yeah, it shouldn't be a problem. The shoulders are a friendly area to hold onto, but you can't do it if you're not friends!!!
Dammit, wasted more time here again and I wasn't even stupid. Pah! I am retarded
