Re: KOF XII Video thread

After watching the Japanese vids among the others UK ones, *objectively* speaking, I don't think our Arcade Infinity ones are that bad. I'll upload some more tonight and it showcases charge.CD cancels (or was it from the last batch?) and 1 or 2 clever sousai follow-ups.

As for hops, I think hops in kof XII are harder to do, I dunno if it's the joystick (which IMO is a lot worse than our 98UM one) or the system, but I can't hop comfortably.

And on that note we noticed recently that specials do a considerable amount of damage in CC compared to just s.Cs and s.Ds etc...we were wondering why the Arcadia Mag listed Iori's CC as qcb+Kx3 into whatever and Robert's CC was f+B, f+A, dp+C, dp+A, dash, dp+A...although not as flashy, do more damage; subsequently, it turns out that Ryo knew what he was doing.

EDIT: Here are some more vids

Don't forget the direct feed HD ones that some other guys recorded DIRECTLY from the cabinet, those guys were hardcore and brought an actual desktop to the arcade--our Arcade owner is the coolest in the world.

More vids just got uploaded and 4 more to come.

Regarding hopping, which input are you guys using to small hop ? Tap up or up>down ?
Someone mentioned to me it was difficult small hopping by just tapping up in this game, but i can do it pretty much most of the time by inputting up>down.
(As a bad habit i hold down as well so i can't normally small hope with anyone like beni who has a down+attack input in the air xP)

I assumed it was the sticks here were funny, but maybe if u get the chance try out the up>down input to see if it's any easier.

I have been trying up>down 1 for the last 2 days, last night with RC2 I was able to see why i cant do it, I dont think that is entirely the sticks fault, it seems that the window to enter the command is shorter argh

generally hops are done just tapping u/f but yeah the timing may have changed or something/more strict or may be the sticks like you said

btw kane, I was not trying to imply the the arcade infinity players are not good or anything like that, just saying I liked some stuff japanese players were doing. I'm curious what Jon thinks about the 3 characters he plays. Has he said anything about which character he feels is strongest among those? From what I've seen Robert looks the strongest of the three.

MAN! I've been trying to find your question EVERYWHERE, I remember reading about it, then I couldn't remember if it was youtube comments, so I went thru all of them, went thru 2-3 threads in each thread (including this one) and I couldn't find it. I mean when I read your question I was going reply immediately but I couldn't find it...haha.

He feels that his Terry and Andy is the strongest. I feel that Andy is his strongest. In reality, Robert prolly is the strongest lol.

Great news, Arcade Infinity HD vids are up, new batch from last night:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-vMFERNqtw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Reynald vs Jon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rln-j8I0mZM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; RJ vs Jon

Reynald's match is toe-cringingly close....co-co-combo BREAKA!

EDIT2: Turns out that match 5 has multiple matches...So for the 5th vid it's RJ vs Jon, Reynald vs Duc, Reynald vs RJ

EDIT2:
AI HD match 6 is up:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27atS6PpaNo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Kane317 vs Reynald, Duc vs Reynald

New JP (?) match video. There's a damn nice Ryo CC combo at 2:01 (which actually does involve doing multiple uppercuts as a starter...shows how much I know, lol).

Nice Ryo CC combo, scary to think that Ryo's Arcadia CC combo is tied with Terry in damage. To add insult to injury, Jon's picking up Ryo now hehe.

AI HD 7:

RJ vs Jon, Kane317 vs Jon (I get destroyed hehe)

Need help!

Post by Kane317 » Mon May 25, 2009 14:13

If you guys like the AI videos please help me rate the videos. It's not coz I think they should be repped 5 stars or the other circulation of KOF XII (UK Vids, Japanese vids, Portland Tilt, AI HD --which is us playing anyways) are any less deserving; currently if you youtube KOF XII my vids don't show up (basically).

I think it's like page 7 before something shows up, I played around with the title description but it doesn't seem to help. The only thing I can think of is the rating.

Once again, I just want to help out the community by having at least 1 of my vids show up on the first 2 pages so ppl can learn more about kof XII in general.

I think it would be best to rate one vid in particular so it shows up in the youtube search results. Pick one!

this was posted over at GF
http://kofguiltyifa.justblog.jp/blog/20 ... -41ff.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

check the 2nd video for decent Iori action and some interesting anti airs from Clark

I suppose this one then:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kynkrklTEuc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - KOF XII - May 2nd '09 Arcade Infinity - 2

Kinda bumped it up by adding KOF XII to the description but every little bit helps.

So the official tournament sponsored by Ignition and Evo just ended - sounds like one of the Arcade Infinity players came out on top:

Kane317, is that the same Reynald who plays with you guys?

We held our first ranking battles for KOF XII yesterday, thankfully BulletProof helped record so the vids are actually good quality for once xP
Only the main matches were recorded, probably were the only ones worth watching anyway.
