Even with his far C being cancelable now, I barely use Rugal's hard attacks (with his sweep being an exception) except in combos. Back in 98, I'd use his far D as a poor man's anti-air, but since the D Genocide Cutter and A Kaiser Wave make for far better anti-airs now, there isn't much reason to use it anymore.

Having his far B cancelable now is really a blessing. At the very worst, at least you'll trade hits. Back in 98, it had range, but the recovery was so bad that people with fast DMs like Yashiro can easily hit you back even if you connect.

So I guess his BnB now is d.B/d.A> d.B/d.A> far s.B> f+B> God
press/Super
Seems like it needs some sort of username and password to view those vids...any tips?
Yep you need to create an account. Just click on the big orange button and you'll get a registration page like most forums.

If you're unsure about what you need to fill in in a field, just use babel fish.

After you're done, they'll send you a link on your e-mail which you need to click to activate, then you're in. Troublesome, but its worth it, trust me. They're quite a few quality match vids there which aren't available anywhere else.

Edit:

I'll just post the field translations here. First: E-mail. Second: User name. Third: Avatar. Fourth: Sex. Fifth: Date of birth. Sixth: Area you're from. The last field is for people from overseas. Seventh: Password. Enter it twice. Eighth: Secret question and answer to it. Ninth: Premium or free membership (or something like that). Choose the second one.

Click on big grey button. Check email to activate. Tah dah!

Ok went thru all the trouble and am now watching the vids.

Turns out he does a lot of d.A, s.B, f.B... Also s.B, f.B...and finally d.A, d.A, s.B. f.B [1 hit], hcb+P.

None are d.B, d.B, s.B which seem a lot harder to connect as tested earlier... I think i like d.A, d.A, s.B the most... Either way the video helped, so I'm going to do some testing.

EDIT: Once again AE, I stand corrected =). I do see a d.B, s.B chain. Guess it's just a matter of practice.

A lot of players here (Tokyo) as well as me use cr A x 2/3, st B, f B --> hcb C/DM as b'n'b.

cr B is too slow, and the timing is weird to connect with far st B.

cr A is very fast, and connects easily after a cross up jump B.

Yeah, but c.B has better range than c.A and is better as an anti-air.

So if it was possible to do it consistently, then it would definately be better to do c.B> s.B in certain situations. But yeah... the timing seems to be really strict and hard to get on a consistent basis.

To chain standing B from crA/crB you need to hit with the tip of rugal's foot...ie the further away you are from the opponent, the easier it is to connect.

I've managed to link crB x3 , standB, fwdB -->watever from the front.

You can even crBx4, standB from the front, but the fwdB whiffs. If you crossup via shadowjumpB u can get in crBx4 , standB, fwdB --> watever. Probably can do more crouchingBs if you hit chris/choi from behind...rugal is the new beni =|

Easiest way to practice crB -> standB timing is stand slightly outside grab range then go from there, you'll notice stand B links very easily the further away you are from opponent.

Is full screen range A reppuken --> qcfx2 D unblockable on a recovering/wakeup opponent?
