The latest character Henrietta in Zero no Tsukaima is voiced by the same seiyu for Yoshida in Shakugan no Shana! Haha, looks like the producers really wanted to make Zero no Tsukaima the next Shana 2! :D

Recommended: Kamisama Kazoku is pretty entertaining to watch. It's essentially a romantic-comedy between the two main characters but the supernatural circumstances in each episode arc that brings them closer are presented in a rather unique way. With 2 more episodes to go, I'm curious to see how the third and final arc will end.

Sorta recommended: Amaenaideyo! is a fairly standard harem anime series but all of the female characters have a very likable personality and, believe it or not, aren't all in love with the main male character except for one girl (naturally, the big-busted tsundere main female character). My favourite female character is the flat-chested Yuuko, who cries out various fighting game battle cries whenever she kicks ass (most of her battle cries are from Terry Bogard's moves!).

The main guy's not a wimp but I'm tired of seeing the show recycling the same animation everytime the guy activates his superpowers (which only happens whenever he gets sexually excited from looking at nekid chicks). I wish there were more action to his superpowers than just uber holy chanting. There seem to be some underlying plot about the guy's superpowers but unfortunately this story plot is never really explained or given much exposure throughout the series.

Thus many if not all of the episodes in Amaenaideyo! appear to be fillerish and formulaic since it tends to follow in this order: ghost problem identified -> girls try to exorcise spirits but fail -> resort to stripping naked to make main character activate superpowers -> girls beat up guy to make him return to normal.

A few episodes are highly amusing to watch though and even a couple episodes can be quite touching to watch since the ensemble deal with spirits and the afterworld so naturally the issue of death often creeps into some stories. Thankfully they don't become too melodramatic and the comedy continues to be the highlight of each episode.

I haven't watched the 2nd season of Amaenaideyo! Katsu! so I can't really say whether it gets better, though I read that the story concentrates more on the background of the main guy's superpowers. Anyone else watched it?

... oh shit.

Why didn't anyone tell me Leiji Matsumoto can still do amazing shit? I'm watching Cosmic Warrior ZERO... and Harlock appears there =D

And it seems Emeraldas and other characters from the Matsumoto universe appear there, too!

Animax wins.

The animation isn't bad, and the music rocks.

Also, I never expected the anime to be as visually-explicit as the manga... watched it with that in mind, and enjoyed it ^-^

BTW... oh, boy! Prince of Tennis is HORRIBLE. Will this Ryoma guy ever be owned by SOMEONE? I'll have to watch Gun Frontier a bit later (weee, Matsumoto!)... and... well, the daily dosis of FMA.

Just finished watching GunXSword, I'd recommend it pretty highly. Stylish atmosphere, well-designed setting, pretty cool action. It reminds me of Trigun, except the Hero this time isn't half as wimpy "I don't want to fight you~! Why can't we all just get along!?". Very tight pacing as well, which adds to the enjoyment of the series by quite a bit.

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora aka "Hantsuki"

ImageImage

Genres: Drama, Romance

Plot Summary: During the winter, Yuichi was hospitalized due to hepatitis. Randomly he would try to escape from the hospital but would get beat up by the nurse. One day, he happened to meet Rika, a girl of his age, in the next building. He was fascinated by her beauty, but she was very selfish girl. Although she led him by the nose, he began to be attracted by her. However, when Rika told him about her illness, he knew why she acted so selfish; she didn't have long to live.

Those infos are taken from http://animenewsnetwork.com

Personnal opinion and ravings: Even if you are aware that Death is very close and can take out the loved one anytime, would you sacrifice everything to live this happiness and make every moment spent with the loved one the happiest one? It is the topic that is dealt with all along this short series (only six episodes). Rika knows the end can come anytime, but little did make her happy, until a boy, named Yuuichi (not you Aizawa!), knocked the door of her room. Then start a romance, sometime hindered by a doctor, who is a jackass at first sight but happen to have his reasons.
Seizing opportunities that may never come again, living every moment as if it was the last, overcoming the obstacles laid by misunderstanding people. Those are some of the few things that are dealt with in "Hantsuki".
To some people, it may be hard to get attached to the characters, especially in the first or second episodes, but the three last ones will keep you on your seat. So the watcher will come to wonder how the final can be an happy end when life, love are hold together by such thin threads.
I, personally, have been caught by the first episode, as soon as it OP was playing. I knew it may leave me emo like Air did. I have been finding myself smiling, laughing, shaking my fist, biting my fingernails, my heart being like gripped by an invisible hand as I emphasized with the characters.

To watch or not to watch?: Definately recommended, especially if you want a romance anime that is not the harem kind or the kind loaded with fanservice. "Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora" is an overlooked romantic drama that deserve a widening audience.
Please watch it, it is only six episodes.

PS: Shamelessly ripped from my LJ.

PPS: The Opening.

Will you challenge me... TO A DUEL? :3

BTW... just in case, this is a list of animes that made me lose hopes in the Sport genre:

-Prince of Tennis (lol invincible).
-Dear Boys (boring).
-Hungry Heart (it makes Captain Tsubasa look like something deep).

Oh, and I have to wait until it's 2AM so I can watch Pita Ten and Digi Charat :(
