Is this just before a match against a human or before each round against the CPU. Coz we can change leader before each human match, but against CPU we're locked in with the 1 leader. But if you can confirm that you can set it so you can change before each CPU round, i'll let my arcade know and we'll change our system (if that's what people want, which i hear they do).PenPen wrote:Oh, I also missed out on some info.
Arcade owners can setup the machine so you will have the same leader in all matches, or you can choose your leader right before each match. Most people in here don't know what the heck choosing a leader means, apparently.
Edit:
Thanks SS.

Something I wanted to mention after seeing more than a few winquotes...
The English translation of this game is really, REALLY off the hook.
I'm pretty sure I saw the word "shit" in someone's winquote today. Uncensored. Not to mention Shen Woo threatens to "b.slap" people in one of his winquotes, and calls the opponent a Democrat in another winquote.
....WTF?!

It's against the CPU if I recall correctly. But the arcades where I play it have a set leader from the start now, except for human matches.christensenray wrote:anyone??christensenray wrote:Is this just before a match against a human or before each round against the CPU. The thing arrived to my city (AND NO NGBC?! WTF?! >_<
+I liked the art, specially the winning portraits.
+Adel... FUCKING ADEL! @ Kaiser Wave.
+Marin's sprite was changed ^_^ Now she REALLY looks cute.
+Oswald is the most awesome new character. He's nuts.
+Clark got toned down. His grab lost a lot of range.
+Slower than KOF2k3. In a good way, IMO. I'm also glad it plays like 2k3 (with a much better control and without stupid glitches), and not like 2k2/NW as lots of faggots would like.
+Shen was changed. He still seems to be powerful, but he's harder to use.
+The 2k3 and new characters look great.
-Iori (fuck, WHEN WILL YOU CHANGE HIM?).
-Marin's gameplay She got raped.
-I couldn't use Adel yet >_<
-Eiji's sprite and overall animation are ridiculous.
-Overall sprite recycling (yeah, very personal opinion).
-The old characters look like crap, compared to the new ones.
-Backgrounds aren't that exciting.
-I fucking hate Gato's BG (or that tune that sounds like techno).
Also, the spanish translations are good ^_^

I guess it's safe to assume the game is way better than 2k3.
What I like to see is how debated what things are good and not in the threads. In the LDM thread, for example, people can't really agree on which one is down-right the best. Would it be unreasonable for me to assume that this indicates an improved level of balance?
It irritates me that Gato is supposedly overpowered this time however. He is a character I used in 2k3.

I second everything.
It's to the limit when you realised Gato is "pwnage" in the entire KOF XI. He basically fragged out any possibility of trying to hold him down or even trying to actively play offense. It becomes practically useless to even turtle when you realise he pwned too much of the gaming time, especially in the judgement meter.
And besides him, Duck King and the others are just plained too unpredictable. I guess KOF XI is all about the anti-heroes, and perhaps it's gotten better for the other characters who seemingly were less important before.
The new characters were all much better than the old ones in my opinion, even the come-back characters are so much stronger.
+ Elisabeth : Simply air domineering
+ Oswald : Anti-Air offensive
+ B.Jenet : Strong offense, especially her damage *wails*
+ Duck King : Unpredictable
+ Momoko : EVEN unpredictable
+ Eiji : Fast, wide range, strong combo-based
+ Kasumi : Combo? I would say she's strong against instant knockbacks and recovery
+ Gato : PWNAGE
The newer characters (hidden ones) are beyond my control. I simply lose out. I always fail to understand their movability. *screams*
Damn... I have so much to complain about XI.
I'm just jealous.

i dont have anything to complain in this game, just that the most dissapointing thing was i wanted to see more of some new orochi moves being pulled off by iori like the one in ngbc
i didint mind any costumes changing, because i was hell sure that they werent going to change kim, ryo, yuri,k,whip, ralf, clark or any of the unchanged costumes,i liked their costumes as much already as fit their style
i know some of the characters in KOFXI were also meant to be placed at the back for a while, but i have a very strong feeling that the third ash saga were meant to blow up because SNK always made the third saga was meant to end
oh yeah one more thing, ramon is a b**ch
