A little late, but just before the SBO frenzy kicks in: our remaining tourney vids are finally up.

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
Singapore is pretty easy to navigate around, and his directions are pretty clear anyway so I don't think I should have any real trouble finding the arcade. If I get the chance to hit the arcades in my upcoming visit, I'll put up a post in the arcade locations thread.Gunsmith wrote:If only FCL had the time to make a nice SG Arcade Guide with google map locations....

Actually, these scans are from http://kof-uk.blogspot.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, run by Kusogaki (also a member of this ON), who has been scanning the last couple of Arcadia's for SNK/KOF info.Toxic Avanger wrote:Dunno what's the source of this.... probably cyberfanatix since these hand cam snaps from jp magazines are always leaked by Sugar boy and no one else.
Those who are acquaintanced with arcade rankings will get this immediately, and to those that aren't... I don't feel like explaining it right now ....
And Tel, I wanted the info for my travel guide. Clear directions they may be, but I like pretty pictures

I'm not really looking forward to SBO K' fest, tbh.

Kinda like those chibi figures http://www.play-asia.com/The_King_of_Fi ... -3yik.html, may want to order one or two off Play-Asia. Chibi Ash, Leona and Betsy look awesome.

Read a rumor @ MMCafe, but like what it said, take this with a grain of salt until there is proof.
In case this is true, I hope the updates not only include bug fixes and infinites, but also some Balance changes as well. (K' and Raiden says hi, Mr. Mizufune)
XIII After Tougeki: Still gets some play in some popular arcades, but not in the usual game centers unfortunately.Rumor says that SNKP may be planning a free update for XIII; however, take this with a huge grain of salt until an official annoucenment is actually made.

The update should include a new character (say Adel) where they finally balanced everybody else but it turns out that Adel has a stupid infinite. D:

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
...yeah, sounds like a patch is needed at this point for this game to stand any chance of being played at next year's Tougeki. Otherwise it's going to be an SNK no-show again (or in the best case, 2K2UM).

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
That's why I'm planning to buy a plane ticket to Osaka. And raid SNKP's office, especially the programming department with a shinai. (joke)
But I can't help myself but worry...
IMO, if BBCS2 and SSF4 hits the arcades, and they do not put their act together and give KOF XIII "a breath of fresh air", they'll be pummeled to dust.
$2 if KOF XIII (upgraded or not) will not be in Tougeki SBO '11.
If they do make KOF XIV. I like them to remove the EX Moves.

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
I think the main problem here is the lack of 'aftercare', so to speak. If you look at the most popular games in the Japanese arcade scene (GGXX, Arcana Heart, Melty Blood, Tekken, VF etc) they've received several revisions over the course of their lifetimes, mainly because the developers have an ear to the ground and develop semi-frequent updates based on player feedback, which maintains player interest in their games. Arcana Heart 3 was just announced for consoles but the arcade version is really 3.1 or something like that, because in spite of being a relatively new game, Examu has already pushed out a new version to arcades with updates.
SNK Playmore? Not so much. Ever since they stopped doing annual KOF releases it's pretty much been fire and forget, with the UM series being the only occasion at which they've gone back to older games and made tweaks.
