Not sure about this, but it seems that XIII Machines are Sold Out in Japan.

Despite the Glitches/Infinite shenanigans, looks like XIII did well in sales.

Oh...good in sale? It really depends on how many they initially made. But I guess "sold out" regards of production figure is still a good thing. But still, it really needs a patch and quick.

There is like.... absolutely no basis to that article. I mean, I know that Trieu isn't known for weird troll baits and the like, but I doubt that he went to AM -net to ask about the game or anything. He probably commented that since his local arcade was totally unable to get a hold of a copy of the game despise trying to do so (which definitely isn't the same as "the game has became extinct").




To follow up on the blog thing, obviously that pic was the answer to a "what character do you miss" type of question.

And really, someone needs to look up Ogura and have him draw a zillion of images for King of Fighters K' and King of Fighters Ash.

As for the UK.... hmmm "Please ask" ... but the Japanese upgrade kit seems to be in stock. Either that or the website isn't updated accurately.

I noticed that in AM-net the game is listed among the top five in the arcade income wise. it's here.

..... Actually, the fact that the game is behind vanilla SF IV is really bad news, since the heat from that game has died out a lot after all of this time. And not seeing VF 5 there is like... the weirdest thing I have seen all day... Perhaps Final Showdown is universally hated in the arcades?

That rank is monthly, so there is no such a thing as an age related handicap coin wise.

The chart is monthly. Also it's apparently based on a survey of 50 arcades, so I'm guessing the income ranking is actually how much money the arcades are making from the respective machines.

Which can only mean our local arcade just has no money.

Finally got to play KOF XIII in Singapore, woohoo! Quite fun, hella lot more enjoyable than KOFXII.

To my surprise, I actually managed to beat the game 3 times in a row. Defeating Saiki took a little bit of effort but his 2nd form (Dark Ash Crimson) was stupidly easy - just sweep the bastard when he is in range and most of the time, he'll fall for it. Works best when you corner him and use a character with a fast sweep. I discovered this method accidentally while trying to get past his annoying projectiles.

I don't know about Vivo City Plaza, but there are like 4-5 machines at Virtua City, Bugis Junction. Once you reach Bugis Junction, go up to the shopping arcade and head towards the McDonald's. Go further straight down the shopping alley and you'll soon come across an escalator on your left hand side; the arcade is down there. If you don't know, just ask around for the Mos Burger fast food joint and once you reach there, you'll see the escalator.

Thanks very much for the directions! It's been awhile since I visited an arcade, and it would be nice to spent an hour or two in one while I'm at Singapore.
