I know that you can cancel her +A into her new DM, but I cant seem to get the shortcut to cancel into old DM (qcb, +A). Has anyone come across this or know what it is? It has me stumped.

I figured it out.
doing +A, +A = cancel into her old DM. +C, +C= cancel into her new DM.
EDIT: I thought it does, but now its doing it randomly....
Seems I still need to research it more.

I can't do it in a real match for some reason. Rarely comes out for me.

in the old games it would work but for some reason I get the new DM more often then the old..I cant seem to quite put my finger on how to make the DM i want to come out. Either way, at least a DM does come out and the new dm is way better for damage.

Seems really hard to bring out consistently, theoretically it should be really easy, but I can see I cannot really rely on it "being there" when I need it.
Overall I think whip is kinda worse now. her +P now have hitboxes on them, countless times i've traded with ppl in the air when that wasn't the case in 2k2. Normal super has been toned down in damage, but has more invincible frames at startup, but it was pretty good as it was before. Her air Far C can be dragon punched now too. It's more to do with many character being toned up and her remaining more or less the same with some things slightly worse.
I'd say if ppl get wins with Whip it's more about the opponent not having much experience against her more than anything.

...Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, I enjoy playing as Whip. I mostly use her against noobies to encourage them not to button spam. (Well, I'm a relative newbie to the rest of the KOF community, I'm sure.)

OK i started checking this again and it MAY seem like its a distance thing. If you do sB (x1, x2 or x3), +A SC into DM you get the qcfx2 A DM. If you do sB (x1 or x2), cB, +A SC DM you get the +A DM. That also was the case in the maxmode combo sB, sB, cB, BC, cB, +A SC DM I got the +A DM 95% of the time.
In saying that, I cant trigger any super at will and the damage off qcfx2 +A/C is far better then her other.
