The KOF 2002 UM Frame Data Project

Post by AtTheGates » Thu Feb 26, 2009 20:14

remember this thread? http://kingoffighters.planets.gamespy.c ... =29&t=2227" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

to make it short, kof 2k2 um training mode is just like 98um training mode - we can find out startup frames & to some extent active frames by programming attack, pause, max mode activation.

since i am really tied up with sf4 right now, i can't promise that i'll do all framedata. i'll probably start out with my favourite characters first, for obvious reasons.

cheers,
ATG

oh, and may lee LP = 7f ^^

some bad news: since you cannot cancel air normals or special moves into max mode, i can't think of a way to figure out their startup. is there any other way to cancel in 2k2 that i'm not aware of?

anyway, here we go.

====================
MAI LEE

Mai Lee changes i noticed:

1. her QCB,QCB+K super in normal mode wallbounces now
2. her backdash in hero mode goes way further
3. changed super motion for max mode super in normal mode (now qcf,qcf+K)

====================
HEIDERN

changes (from 98um / 98, since i never played 2k or 2k1):
- most of the stuff below sucks, but keep one thing in mind: no charge time in max mode. heidern has insane combos.
- far D is terribly slow again, like in 98
- close C first hit cannot be canceled anymore
- close C 2nd hit combos into QCF,QCF+P in the corner
- projectiles give knockdown
- CD gives ground slide
- f+B can be performed with b+B as well (6B and 4B)
- different jump-back animation
- slightly different backdash
- charge d, u+LP has super cancel, only combos into QCF, QCF+P super in the corner though
