About K9999, the jp aniversary site hinted how they didn't wanted to blalantly promote the character because he was just too much of a rip off, and they could get in legal issues

There's already 4 Kyos, how bad can it getMonpochi wrote:I am hoping that they won't be the same URA that appeared on 98 already. However, it seems like this might become the case seeing that the mini-portraits looks like the 98 ones.Gojira wrote:Don't forget the ura orochi team, that's 3 more right there. Perhaps the other 7 will also be ura?
IIRC, he worked on:Tel wrote:Wow, the art looks great alright. Hiroaki really pulled no punches for this one, and lots and lots of kudos to him for such fantastic artwork. The character portraits are so much better than the ones from 2k2 and remind me of the excellent ones from 99-00. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to SNKP artists however, so I'd appreciate a history lesson on which KOF Hiroaki worked on. I know Nona did 2k1/2k2 and the cinematics in XI, while Falcoon did the general art for 2k3 and XI, but I don't really remember the pre-2k1 years. I also can't remember who did the portraits in CVS(2), but I remember one of the Capcom artists being really amazing.
Ah, I remember now. He did the lovely art for the XI posters and Ultimate Guide, while Falcoon did the in-game characters and Nona did the cinematics. He did EX2 and Buriki as well huh? No wonder the art style seemed familiar. I may be mistaken, but I think he might have done one of the promo art for 2k1 featuring K' doing a kick and K'9999 looking intense with his arm unraveling. There's no way that's Nona's art style, although I'm not sure if that's Hiroaki's work.Monpochi wrote:IIRC, he worked on:
Buriki One (Official Art, In-game Art as well i think)
KOF-EX2 (Official Art, In-game Art)
KOF XI (Official Art)
And a couple of box covers of KOF Titles (XI, Orochi Collection)
