Another character who got some improvements.

hcf+K now knocks opponent up instead of away if it hits. It's a juggle too, so the crappy anti-air DM/SDM finally has a use.
A new DM/SDM where he basically does his hcf+P move but at a really fast speed. Think M. Bison (the dictator dude).

Other stuff are unknown thus far, but from what the CPU does, it seems like other things are left intact.

Played him today as well. The new DM/SDM is qcb,hcf+P/AC, he flies forward M. Bison like. Great speed, but no startup frame invincibility or autoguard. Just really fast.

Edit:
Forgot to mention that his hcf+K knocks up, but the opponent isn't in the air long enough for his qcfx2+P super. I don't know what can follow this afterwards, maybe a jump A or B?

Shoulder uppercut and New Bison Super both juggle off the hcf+K.

Might be distance dependent though (i.e., will only juggle off the tip of the hcf+K).

Brian's Bison super can go through fierballs, awsum!

Fun new combos for the whole Brian family.

Close C (2 hits) -> hcf+B
Low B -> low A -> qcb,hcf+P
(More advanced) Low B x3 -> low A -> qcb,hcf+P

Awesome I always used Brian. Does his forwardforward hop in extra still allow u to do his screw attack across the screen? Like in kof94.

That I need to try. I think I saw someone do it, but today I'm using Brian and just doing that UFO spin all over the place and messing up the opponent. Good times.

By the way, thanks to the new super, I advise using him with an Extra mode bar. That way with a flashing life, you can really punish your opponent when they jump (air grab super), or when they try something silly (Bison super).

Not sure what the qcfx2+K super is for now since he got the Bison super, but we'll find out eventually.

By the way, Bison super does not go through a blocked opponent, ie Brian stops right in front of the opponent if blocked.

More Brian nuttiness, forward hop (Extra/Ult mode) can still do his UFO.

Jump A and crouch D are now cancellable.

Far C is no longer cancellable, but apparently is now an overhead. Pretty good trade off, i think... hopefully you can combo after it with max cancels.

Brian can now do a full air chain of j.A> jump d+C > jump qcf+P.

The local arcade has finally implemented some Q.MAX combo playing...so in the light of that I was wondering (complete speculation) if Brian can do the following:

Std C, QCB+P, (QCB+P), Q.Max Std C, QCB+P, HCF+P, Dwn x 3 + K, Dwn~up P

Pretty sure that combo wouldn't work, because the Q.Max will not cancel the second QCB+P (the most it will do is cut some of the recovery frames) and the QCB+P will knock down unless its cancelled with another qcb+P.

Edit:

Should also have mentioned that his most damaging non-DM combo s.C(1 hit)> qcb+P> HCF+P> d, d, d+K> d, u+P now does 'only' around 40%. If you have an SDM handy you should go for s.C (2 hits)> hcf+K > (Q.Max if in Extra mode) > SDM Tackle or Torpedo super, much more damaging. I suspect the Tackle super may do more damage but cannot be done in the corner (the subsequent charges will whiff and you get comboed for free, just like in '98).

- Also, the first hit of Brian Hammer negates projectiles. Dunno if it did that in the old '98.

- Saw in a match vid that Brian can now do d.B> d.A> qcb+PX3 but i haven't been able to do it myself. Not sure if the strength of the punch matters.

- IMO his toughest match up is against Yashiro/O.Yashiro. His d.C beats ALL your ground moves clean and jump D will almost always be faster than yours. Otherwise Brian does fairly decently against most top tiers.

I get the game tonight, I'll try out a bunch of stuff =) If you're using extra mode, and you're not eligible for SDM, would a Std C [2hits], HCF+K, Q. Max, QCB-HCF+P still be more damaging than the aforementioned QCB+P chain?

If your life is not red, there's no reason why the Q.Max should make any difference to the combo damage.

Btw, check your PMs please.

Did more testing:

-Brian cannot do d.B, d.A, into his QCB+P chains... he can however, do d.C into QCB+P x 3 only.

-After a HCF+B: - dp+D is the most damaging non-dm
- QCFx2+K does the more damage on a DM level than his new M.Bison DM (QCB~HCF+P)
- On the SDM level, both QCFx2+K and QCB~HCF+P SDM does the same damage.
- QCFx2+P DM does not connect at all.

-The QCFx2+P DM however does the most damage on DM and SDM levels.

-Although QCFx2+K DM does more damage than the QCB~HCF+P DM, the M.Bison one can be chained off d.B into d.As
