Last Blade 1+2 Collection (PS2)

Post by SonicTempest » Fri Jan 13, 2006 06:59

The pack came out in Japan today (officially anyway).

Apparently according to some threads I've read at Gamefaqs and elsewhere there are frame cuts!!! WTF?!

Also the games don't appear to have gotten a nice front-end makeover like MOTW did - you select from LB1 or LB2, and when the game starts you get the old Mega Shock 330 logos and everything when you start them up. Apparently the sound is a little muffled too.

There's apparently a long (12 second or so) loading time before the game starts, but after that the game appears to run perfectly (apart from the apparent frame cut issue I mentioned before).

I cant decide which is worse...

to think a ps2 is not able to emulate 100% a port of a game done in 15 year old hardware...

or that SNKP was so damn lazy to do a decent port.

:( And I've been waiting forever for this game to get released, too. Dammit.

It's even more mind-boggling when you consider that PS2 MOTW was more or less a perfect port.

Gah, will we never get a perfect console version of LB2? :/

I'm pissed at this game.

It's basically a nice shiny looking front end for you to load 2 roms.

I'm not even kidding - you even have to input the code for EX mode just like you had to do on the original rom. <_<

Why did the DC version of LB2 have sound synching issues? D: Why? Why?
