So i recently watched The danish tv series "The Kingdom" by Lars Von Trier, and i'm in love. It combines black comedy and horror with fabulous results. However, the series never had its conclusive 3rd season, probably because shortly after the filming of the 2nd season 2 of the main actors died.
Later Stephen King produced a tv series for the american television based on "The Kingdom", called "Kingdom Hospital". Now reading Stephen King and tv on the same sentence gives out a really bad vibe, and to be honest i don't even like his novels much at all, but i read that Trier sent King the script for the 3rd season, and i'm hungry for more Kingdom!
I was wondering if somebody could comment about Kingdom Hospital?

I tried to watch Kingdom Hospital as it first aired because I saw the first episode and liked it, but I think it didn't get high enough ratings or something, so it got shuffled around the schedule or something and I couldn't follow it. It probably got cancelled early too. Sci Fi marathons it sometimes now, but I never have the time to just sit and watch TV all day.

Same thing happened to me - I watched it for several episodes until they quietly moved it to another day; I completely lost track of it and gave up.Bugle/Hawk'M wrote:I tried to watch Kingdom Hospital as it first aired because I saw the first episode and liked it, but I think it didn't get high enough ratings or something, so it got shuffled around the schedule or something and I couldn't follow it.
As for what I saw, it started off good but was kind of flagging by the time I gave it up (particularly the Bill Buckner episode which had to be a total Steven "I love the Red Sox" King addition). I can't say as I recall it being particularly funny or horrific - it was just kind of interesting in a mysterious way.
According to wikipedia the mini-series did reach it's finale and is available on DVD. Maybe I should look into that.....
