Talk about a bad end for Zidane's carrer. I didn't expect he'd go out like that. Besides that, he and the French team have gone through a lot of obstacles to reach the final, including big timer Brazil, so credit's got to be given for 'em.

Still though, it was a really tight and exciting game. Congrats to the Italians and their supporters.

Aw boo! Italy went back in to their turtle shells again

Whatever happened to new, attacking Italy? Instead we got boring, cynical Italy. Oh well. At least they managed not to elbow or spit at anyone.

I don't deny they were good at some games in this tournament, but it just seems wrong when the team that got outplayed in the final should win the whole thing.

I still think that in a WC final they should keep playing until someone scores, even if it takes 12 hours. Or until someone dies.

There's this joke here, Materazzi said to Zidane "Come to Inter!", hence the reaction.
...It's pretty funny if you know the whole Inter drama.
