So Haruhi covered sport shonen, mystery shonen, romantic comedy staples, science-fiction and now band anime. What next?

I am inclined to believe that Kyoto Animation, using the original novel as material, is using every kind of plots without even pretending to analyze or criticize it because Haruhi herself wanted so badly to be casted in a world full of unlikely events way more amusing than a dull and normal world.

How's Utawarerumono? How's it shaping so far? Since it's a HGTA, is it harem-like in terms of story/plot? From the screenshots I've seen so far, it doesn't appear that way.

This is a really late review for an old anime series but a couple weeks ago I watched Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase -. Man, what a waste of my time. The animation was pretty average for the first 13 episodes (the animation for episode 12 and 24 were pretty much non-existent) and the story was so-so.

The cinematography was also average and the pan-drop-out-of-nowhere gags was overused, sometimes inappropriately in a "serious" episode. The first villain was cool but the one that followed after was

,

(we don't even get to see his face). Only the various ED stills of Hazuki by various famous guest artists were worth looking forward to.

More seriously.
The concert part was really well done, animation and sound wise. Sound wise, it actually sounded like it was on the stage.
I liked how Haruhi have come to question herself after her performance.

That would be Tsuyura-san, which has the same VA as Osaka.

But what a difference in roles. Even so, she really steals the limelight in any scene she's in, either as the quiet and spacey Osaka or hyper genki Tsuyura-san.

Well at least episode 12 of Haruhi was decent, even if it wasn't all that funny. I can appreciate some real character development.

I watched all of Binchou-tan the other day, since it's short. The moe cuteness was so thick it looked like even if you stabbed one of them they would just bleed kittens who would rub and purr and lick your finger. I'll be eating dirt for weeks to counter the sugary taste.

Also been watching Kakutou Bishin Wulong Rebirth raws... I don't really know how it got to a second season, but at least the art and animation quality are somewhat better. The Prime Mat tourney just started so hopefully it won't be bogged down with too much talking this time.

Yakitate Japan finally ended on the 69th (?!) episode, and rather abruptly to boot. The show has been losing steam since the end of the Monaco Cup so it's probably for the best.

And finally, One Piece continues to rock my socks with the Skypiea and Enes Lobby arcs while Naruto continues to crap on my shoes with bottomless filler. This filler has gone on for almost 60 episodes, for crap's sake. Isn't this what killed Rourouni Kenshin?

PS: Anyone recommend a harem show? Other than Shuffle! because I've seen it already.

I read that Iriya no Sora is good (it's next on my to-download list) and that Kashimashi isn't bad either. I want to watch Air too.

I heard of another harem show that's supposedly darker in story and plot compared to Shuffle! but I can't remember what's its name. Ah, it'll come to me some day.
