Re: And I thought anime was dead
I keep wanting to check out Ugly Americans, but I don't have TV anymore and I don't know a good place to stream it.
But I have been watching R.O.D. The TV a bit, I loved the OVA so I feel bad for not getting to the TV series for so long. Then again, I can hardly ever bring myself to watch anime anymore, I usually just watch one or two episodes every few days at best.

Re: And I thought anime was dead
Anime is dead? No no, you're thinking of the music industry.
Been a while since I've watched any anime, though. The last one I remember really watching was Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. With a little bit of Dragonball Kai thrown in there, just for the hell of it.

I'm pretty sure anime is far deader than music now, especially considering the new Tokyo law.

You know those adult-only manga stands in stores in Tokyo? Those are now filled with shoujo and shounen.

It's a long read, but worth it.

i find that really interesting, especially when japan ranks high in the consumption of child porn and rape content yetmutagene wrote:You know those adult-only manga stands in stores in Tokyo? Those are now filled with shoujo and shounen.
