So the only score I'm aware of today is Brazil 2-1 North Korea. That's a much better score than I think most people were expecting...

Kids here have been vuvuzela'ing for weeks now.
Netherlands and brazil were a little underwhelming, just watched chili-honduras, chili has some technical players, enjoyed that match. Spain time naow!

Spain just lost their S! This is the biggest upset thus far. They now must win their remaining matches to advance.International Bastard wrote:lol@vuvuzela rage

Just saw Argentina demolishing South Korea. I'm still not 100% convinced that they are contenders, as their defense seems a little too suspect. I suppose they'll go into the last 4.
One thing I noticed is that a lot of teams revolve their attacking patterns into crossing their ball into the box. I don't know why - even Spain did that. It's not like the most of the teams can cross them very well either (this is partly the ball's fault).
And those vuvuzela can definitely piss people off. In addition to the rather boring matches thus far. Hoping for a better watching experience with this coming week's fixtures.

Mexico 2-0 France
lol, the heavyweights are dropping like flies
With one game left France is at the bottom of its group.

Germany lost, USA getting owned now by Slovenia...this second round is starting to be a little crazier than I thought.
Edit: And USA tied the game...and had a goal disallowed.

Holland qualified for the next round but hasn't shown any sexy football yet. Still enjoying the tournament, some interesting matches coming up.

My friend suggested that they try to put on the shirts they swapped at the end of the game and sneak away on the Portugal bus, thereby avoiding their inevitable execution when they get back home.

Nah, the state media will just edit footage together creatively and say that they beat Portugal 17 - 0.

The Portugal game was televised live. No escaping that one (except for the 2 Japanese on the N.Korean team)

France imploding in spectacular fashion, let's see if they're going to show up against South Africa.

Re: The World Cup Thread
So er both France and Italy are now out of the World Cup. France lost to South Africa 1-2 while Italy just went down to Slovakia 2-3. Both the 2006 finalists have now been knocked out...

Re: The World Cup Thread
Italy sucked hard, and then tried to tease us by scoring a goal, and tried to tease us again. Sucks to be an Italy fan. D:
