Since Gunsmith's stuck in Japan and Orochinagi is a little dead without him around in general I'll go ahead and just make the next tournament a cross-community.

Hm, well, I am a long-time lurker in this community and I would love to participate in your tourney WryGuy. If it's via XBL I can join in easily (provided my American Xbox doesn't melt here in Korea) but if we're rocking PCs and interwebz powers I'll have to ask for a little help in getting myself set up. ^_^; I regret saying that I've never used this GPPO all the cool kids are shooting up these days.

I got some other people on the Destructoid side of the tournaments that could help you out with that. The Mark of the Wolves tournament has already passed since like I said, didn't wanna do an Orochinagi tourney without Gunsmith around. Next tourney is King of Fighters 2002, some time after we complete the entire NESTS saga story guide.

Eh... I've been unable to login to GGPO. Is there something I should know? I got the latest package with the usual ports forwarded.

Huh? I've been on it just fine, played a few games with locals just last night.

What error message you getting Gun? It's just stuck on login page or you get "Connection is Lost"?

The tournaments are actually on Supercade.net, I might add. It's far more stable than GGPO.

I try to login and then it says "Connection is Lost".

Guess I'll try supercade... funny how the comments on that page all say ggpo is better.

GGPO is technically less laggy, to the point where it's difficult to really tell the difference. The thing is GGPO also doesn't work about half the time, to the point where it is actually common for the users to try and come up with their own bug-fixes like "send two challenges at a time and accept both and it might work."

Supercade runs so well that you can't notice the difference in lag unless you're either superstitious or very observant.
