How about Mizuchi? I saw someone fighting him, and if I'm not wrong, he proceeded to fight Mizuchi after fighting the last batch of teams that contained Mars People and Athena.

If you fight Mizuchi, most probably it is either you failed at some part of reaching the criteria of meeting other bosses.

e.g. Unable to fight 6 teams, did not get the correct amount of DAs, use too many bonuses, etc.

I often get to fight Mizuchi because I tried to meet the Goodman requirements and failed too often. :(

O_O. thats strange, I see the guy fighting mizuchi after he finished 9 sets of teams. I fought Shin Shishioh without any DA, and time up at the 8th set.

Not sure where this information belongs, but like most 'system' counters, Tag Counters (E when blocking) can be countered. If the character doing the Tag Counter is hit out of his blow back information, he still loses his level and does not tag out. Considering how important Tagging out is in this game (for life regeneration), this makes baiting a Tag Counter very rewarding.

Easiest way I've found to do this so far is to throw projectiles at poke range. If the opponent tries to Tag Counter after blocking, he's pretty vulnerable to any high priority attack you can throw at him.

Hmmm so no special requirements for the special DA? (like costing a power level, life bar 1/4 left, etc...)

Beast, theres some special requirements. Its stated there, Iori needs to stun the guy with his 8 wine cups, Kyo needs to do it after his new dokugami chain, ya.

Ratix0: Uh, I know. I believe I know how to read. >_>

I am just asking whether they are any other requirements that need to fulfil BESIDES the act of having a move to connect and input the command. (Hope this is clearer now...)

BTW, I played once, I did a Dassault once or twice, they connected, and I still fight Shin Shishioh. Perhaps the "No Dassault" isn't exactly correct?

The criteria for fighting the different bosses are ripped off the NGBC mook and tried and tested by the 2.

Yours truly fought the bosses I wanted by following the instructions too...

The critirion is pretty accurate alright.

I fought Neo Dio today, at first, I thought he'd be easier, because he doesn't seem to have that insane priority compared to King Lion and Mizuchi. Guess what, when you get cornered, hes pretty insane T_T.

A way to easily net a bunch of Dassaults is to do it during the first batch of 3 teams. They're basically walking dummies, very easy to pull D assault off them.

Stickied.

Didn't know there were more special d-assualts not in the mook. Hmm.

I'ma gonna post the d-assaults in the respective character threads like a good mod, I guess -_-;

Mizuchi is easy enough with some characters, haohmaru just has to keep a slight distance and stand C his way to victory. Iori has to do his crossover into combos. I find poking him into combos effective. Like Mr.big's stand D into DP +C.

Neo dio is probably the easiest of the four bosses. I played normally with most characters and won.

King lion is the second hardest, just make sure not to hit him when the lights go low. Grab him instead

Goodman's the cheapest boss ever. He makes 94 rugal and kof 2k1's boss (forgot his name) look like pansies in comparison. I couldnt even get close most of the time. But I had some success when I did the guard-dash and got close enough to hit him.

2001 boss' name is Igniz, and if someone is cheaper than Mr. Bernstein '94 and Igniz then it means serious probs (in fact, Goodman resembles a bit like Igniz, coincidence?)

I can try posting up a video of Goodman, know anywhere I can host it?
