Talk about the tornado-throwing star of Samurai Shodown/Spirits and the object of Genjuro's unbridled wrath here.

HM... this is what I've seen from Haoh:

-Senpu Retsuzan (tornado).
-Kogetsu Zan (antiair).
-His old 214 +slash button move (when he jumps foward and violently hits the ground with his sword).
-Rage mode (o_O).
-His SS3/4 DM.

I wonder if he'll have his 623K move (tackle) or his SS2 DM. All those moves would make him awesome.

Story

Post by Kyosuke Kagami » Sun Jul 10, 2005 07:37

"Are strong people gathering in the occident?"

Rumors like this one can be heard in the inn. Of course, that must be europeans' business. A real-combat tournament has been opened, where powerful warriors live or die, using weapons or never seen techniques.

When he listened to this... Haohmaru decided what to do.

Haohmaru is a town musashi from a decadent family of nobles, he has an impressively trained body (1.76m and 80 kilos), wearing very loose clothes, always holding his excellent Fugudoku and a bottle of sake. Showing a dull but sincere aspect. Now he's traveling from territory to territory training in the arts of combat, living by himself.

Haohmaru is in that inn, when he filled his bottle with sake he finished all the preparatives.

"Mi arms are unquiet. Tonight, I'll celebrate with a drink!"

It was the first move they showed for Haohmaru, so yes; he has it... I think that you have to activate the rage explosion before doing it.

Which one? The SS2 DM or the 623K Tackle?

Genjyuro and Haohmaru.

Genjyuro: After a connected ABC move, qcb, hcf CE.
Haohmaru: After his ABC move, qcf*2 AE.

Hyper charge + Level 3 max mode, any C slash takes about 20-25% damage on the power bar....Who needs combos and DMs? >_>

(Then again the hyper charge and max mode doesn't last long, so the terror doesn't last too long, thankfully.)

Any idea about getting around the far C that Haoh has? It can kill a lot of attacks with its rather quick speed. I know that there's horrible lag afterwards. Is using keep-away characters a good way?

basically, the best way to beat out that slash is to keep him under pressure. imo his specials aren't that great really........his uppercut and super are probably the ones you have to worry about most......other than that, just pressure really....

oh, and GCFS'ing after the heavy slash only works if you're really, really close to haohmaru if you want to punish, unfortunately =/

Heh.

Stand C, fireball, fake fireball, unblockable slash.

Mix them all up since they all look the same during the beginning.

Did I mention his C button has pretty awesome priority across the board? Near C, far C, jump C.... argh.

Ralf with a darn sword. XD

Db B*nth, Qcf*2 A does just plain wrong damage.

With a stand C from hell and a down b combo... scary.

"Db B*nth, Qcf*2 A does just plain wrong damage." means to do db B,B,B,B serveral times, to the nth time.

Plus Haohmaru's Retsu Zan special is not useless too! Its actually one of the more useful

When you're pressuring the opponent, when you think he's gonna do the tag or when you're cornering him and close enough, you do it and the opponent's partner will definitely get hit, when he's coming in.

This also works for Mr.karate's f,b,f +P, its relatively easy to measure the area where the opponents partner will get tagged in and before he lands he will get hit by the retsu zen

Many of the characters have one, ie: rock & Geese's raging storm etc..
