Lol, damn right, that's why you HAVE to taunt once per round--mandatory quota to fulfill to 'properly' defeat your opponent =)

Anyone has tips on some solid pressuring gameplay points?

For pressuring I just use: d.B, d.A, qcb+A, qcf+A, qcb+B (and I don't think it's 100% safe).

Hop with E, C, and sometimes D (against Whip), sometimes I'll use hop A, but never really use hop B. Is it really useful?

d+D is good for zoning, and cancel it into qcf+A, qcf+A.

Course I'm always going for ACE combos but the opportunity rarely presents itself.

Lol, I need some tips, I can do most/all his combos in practice mode, just need to know when to utilize them.

If you mean as a block string, definitely not :P

dB dA QCB+A, QCF+Ax2 is more safe I believe.

even so, certain characters can punish him after that (like gato palm super, for example). I find that qcb A/C, qcf A/C, qcb A/C, qcb A/C is slightly better on block, but then again the opponent has heaps of time to AB cancel through it if they have meter anyway

Jumpiing B is f*cking godly air to air against characters with horizontal attacks (blue mary´s jumping E for example)

and also, a hop j. B is always perfect against a character superjumping at you

Woops, my bad. Seems like there was no need for me to make a thread here for it. I rarely check any other forums now days, and just posted the info on any KoF related forums. :3

Well thanks for posting the link Shura anyway. ^^;

It is worth pointing out that setting stuff in the option menu doesn't guarantee anything. Set the opponent to recovery roll and the use Athena's command throw. Watch in awe as the CPU only manages to recovery roll every second one.

No, that was just to record. I have done it on my friend and my friend has done it on me, we were not able to escape it with rolls or save shifts at all. The only time we escaped was when either of us missed the unblockable.

Okay, I've been working on it. And here is what I did.

I recorded the commands on training mode, then I tested it against myself, yeah I couldn't block it, so that means I didn't miss the thing. Alright now what I tried was

Mash on the roll button: I was able to roll escape it on occasions, but that kinda sucks because as I roll I can get 2Ked into a combo. :x

Do an LDM: Some LDMs were able to break through it.

So thankfully this thing seems to be breakable thus far, hopefully lol. It is still a pretty darn nice trap. And I don't think my execution doing it was the cause of me being able to escape it by myself lol.

And if it was my execution doing the thing the cause of me escaping it, then I have no idea. D:

EDIT: GRAGH! I noticed I can't roll escape on the first repetion, but only on the second, same with LDMs... And when I looked closely at my record, I notice I do the second one a bit slower than the first one.. SO DAMN, I bet I was only able to escape it cuz I missed the timing. So after all this thing could have tight timing.

EDIT 2: I'll like to label this as escapable for now, but just as a darn nice reset unblockable trap.

anything that works on "arcade mode" on PS2, works on AW

kinda old combo :p

(i just prefer cancelling to LDM after the st. A) but infinite anyway, except if u input the "10" too late/too low, opponent may be able to roll

You probably want to just try holding combinations of forward as well just to ensure it isn't crossing up as you land.

People here rarely bother with ACE anymore. Oswald combos are nothing more than an opportunity to attempt to land as many df+A's in a juggle as possible. 3, 4 or 5 depending on the situation atm.

about that so called infinite....i was wandering:

i tried it like 3 times ... and nop, it wasnt an infinite (maybe i was doing some input very slow)

but errr, on that video, does the combo counter was still moving up?????

(it doesnt show up if i recall correctly)

cuz here, opponent couldnt block the 10, but it wasnt counted as part of the combo. (still, on one time, opponent touched floor and he rolled immediately ...)

some more feedback on diferent peeps trying it, plz?

as the recovery frames of the dfA hitting standalone are UB this is an unblockable infinite

'cause with A you make the oppo land on those frames
but obviously you have to be very precise
this is not combo nor a juggle it use the ub frames

i've seen in deep how it happens and seems that there are some standing frame of the dummy
now it have to be clarified if during those frames the inf can be rolled or punished with invincible moves

someone succeeded in it but it seems only due to a dfA landed too late
still on study

Ok to shift the topic a little, what are some good QS chars for Oswald to do ACE combo (NON-corner one: df+A, qcb+P, qcf+B, qcf+E) if I do NOT use:

Gato or Kula.

I was thinking Ryo's f.b.f+P QS into Oswald.
EDIT: Yeah it works.

Yuri's df+D QS into Oswald?
EDIT: Yeah it works too.

Griffon's df+D, qcfx2+K dm QS into Oswald.

I'll list characters I do use:
Geese,
Shen,
Whip,
Clark,
Ralf,
Malin,
Duck King,
Shingo,
Ramon,
Ryo,
Yuri,
Mary,
Kasumi,
Eiji

hmm...ideas?
