I think I remember seeing a quick shift during a special move in the video which leaves me wondering the value of super canceling.
You can do either
1) super cancel
or
2) you can do a quick shift, possibly do the same amount of damage (or more) as a DM and get power gauge from the combo.
One little thing that could change that, is to not have saving shift work when you are hit by DMs or LDMs which I'm still not sure you are able to do.
From the video, the game looks really good right now.

Impressive video to say the least. So it looks like the Saving Shift can be done in the middle of a combo - this could be a nice offset to super/dream canceled combos. I wonder what the specific timing of a Saving Shift will be though (even KI only had certain points where you could break the combo).

That's the way England is written in Japanese; always has been. It's based on some non-English pronunciation of the name.
Anyway I'm late seeing the vid, but everything looks great. Well except Eiji's LDM or whatever that was, that looked more like a glitch the way Ryo was floating in his idle pose most of the time. But everything else looks great.
