Umm... and why is that exactly? Skill points generate over time and it's never been terribly difficult to generate three power stocks. Timing the various cancels will probably be tough but I'd think better players would get it down easily enough.

Mind you, I'm not so much disregarding your opinion as I am looking for elaboration of your point.
You may be able to get up to step 2 at most instances but to actually get to step 3, then to step 4 and repeat the cycle is the diffcult part.

If you are going all out on step 3, you need 3 power stocks and 2 skill stocks. If you are intending to expend that much "capital" on a combo, I would at least expect it to hurt.

Note that in the process of getting to step 3, you sacrifice other forms of damage infliction that requires stocks. So you can not use a SCed super or a LDM combo during this time. You can not do Saving Shift too.

Your opponent will be thinking of this too.

Most probably (at least to me.) people are not going to aim for that elusive ultimate combo of doom. They are perhaps more comfortable with moderate level combos. Therefore a DC is not going to happen thrice per match.

Body blow?!?? Are they talking about his CD attack?
Er, yeah, I'm sorry - I seem to remember Body Blow attack being the old official name for CD attacks, which is why I kept it... I seem to remember trying to avoid calling them CD attacks since Neo Wave since they made the C button the Heat button or something...

EDIT: And oh yeah - did I not mention that the new button (used for Heat previously in Neo Wave) is now the button for Body Blow attacks? Another reason why I stopped calling them CD attacks...

QCF + P, huh?? I guess Maxima lost his Maxima Scramble then. Kinda disappointing...
My bad, my typo - you're right, qcb p is his vapour cannon...

And SS is right, it IS Judgement Indicator :P

Or, in Nipponese, Injikeetaa
Sorry for mixing them up. :P

Well, I always referred to them as CD attacks, called Command Moves "basics," and called rolling "phasing." Talking on forums has gotten me out of a lot of terminology, but I'm still forced to use that terminology around my friends. "Basics" gets confusing, since it refers to command moves with my friends, but refers to your simple punches and kicks on forums. At any rate, I prefer the term Body Blow Attack as well, especially since it's no longer done with the C and D buttons, which are used for tagging. At any rate...

The system seems balanced to me. Yes, you CAN try to conserve 2 SklS and 3 PwrS for the ultimate combo... BUT, in return, during the whole period of building it up, you'll have to avoid using any Quick Shifts, Saving Shifts, Guard Cancels, Guard Evasions, DMs, LDMs, Super Cancels, etc. Meaning that your opponent will have a significant advantage over you, and if you screw that combo up, then you just screwed up big time. High risk, high reward, I think. I'm just looking forward to trying THIS little number out:
KULA
nC(2) > One Inch > Lay Spin > Stand > Quick Shift to K' > nC(2) > One Inch > Ein Trigger > Second Shell > Tag Attack(1) to Maxima > Bunker Buster

That is possible, right? Assuming the Quick Shift to K' works... or does a Quick Shift use 2 SklS? I've already forgotten... It wouldn't be too deadly or damaging.. But it would just look impressive.... Mmm, I'd need to play with it. I just no I won't be happy until I've developed simple DM combos involving my whole team... A lot of time's gonna' have to go to memorizing how many stocks of what type everything uses...
