It could be anywhere, inside or outside or around.\u00a0 Only the general location is clear.\u00a0 Use this when you don&#8217;t want to meet in a specific place, or to meet at all!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>See you in the club<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This specifies that you will definitely be <em>inside<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Good English<\/strong>: avoid repeating prepositions, to create a more interesting expression.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be in the restaurant = specifically inside, most probably eating.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll be at the restaurant = not specific where<\/p>\n<p><strong>X:<\/strong> I&#8217;ll be <strong>at<\/strong> the restaurant, <strong>in<\/strong> a table<br \/>\n<strong>O:<\/strong> I&#8217;ll be <strong>at<\/strong> the restaurant, <strong>at<\/strong> a table<br \/>\n<strong>Best<\/strong>: I&#8217;ll be <strong>in<\/strong> the restaurant, <strong>at<\/strong> a table<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>X: I&#8217;ll be <strong>in<\/strong> school, <strong>at<\/strong> class<br \/>\nO: I&#8217;ll be <strong>in<\/strong> school, <strong>in<\/strong> class<br \/>\n<strong>Best<\/strong>: I&#8217;ll be <strong>at<\/strong> school, <strong>in<\/strong> class.<\/p>\n<h1>Usual Expressions<\/h1>\n<p>We go <strong>to<\/strong> a country:<br \/>\n<em>I&#8217;m going to China for the Asia Games.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We do something <strong>in<\/strong> a country \/ city \/ town \/ village (not at):<br \/>\n<em>She lives <strong>in<\/strong> Toronto, <strong>in<\/strong> Canada.<br \/>\nHe is flying <strong>to\u00a0<\/strong>Guangzhou Shi, <strong>in<\/strong> China.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Areas are <strong>in<\/strong> a country:<br \/>\nAreas related to a direction are <strong>in<\/strong> a country<br \/>\n<em>He lives in Hokkaido,\u00a0 <strong>in<\/strong> the north of Japan.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>but we <em>move <strong>to<\/strong> an area:<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Tomorrow I will travel <strong>to<\/strong> the north.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We can move <em>inside<\/em> an area :<br \/>\n<em>I will travel <strong>in<\/strong> the north <\/em>(starting in the north and finishing in the north)<\/p>\n<p>at = not specifically inside, around a location:<br \/>\nSee you <strong>at<\/strong> the top of the tower!<\/p>\n<p>Use <strong>at<\/strong> to specify a general location, usually the entrance for meetings and to specify time:<br \/>\nMeet you <strong>at<\/strong> the cinema, <strong>at<\/strong> 7.30pm!<\/p>\n<p>Use <strong>in<\/strong> to specify inside an area or location or event or even time:<br \/>\nSee you <strong>in<\/strong> New York\/ the parking lot \/ the tournament \/ two weeks!<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.orochinagi.com\/english\/grammar\/\">back<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The King of Fighters is copyright SNK<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To = movement Generally, to express movement, we use the proposition to.
