I need to know what kind of stuff Serious Cody can pull before forming an accurate opinion.

Does he throw bigger rocks, or just more rocks? I think Akuma could maybe dodge the bigger rocks but a whole barrage of rocks might limit his options!

And what if the chains weight like a ton? Unrestrained, Cody could throw cars or really just about anything, which would really fuck Akuma's fb game. maybe he could fly?

Also doesn't Akuma's power work only against emotional or evil people? IT looks to me like Cody really doesn't give a shit about anything.

I'm starting to think Serious Cody might really have the upper hand here, but we need to explore the canon more accurately.

Well regular Cody's Ruffian Kick can target three specific directions: forward, down, and up. Were Cody to give a fight his full 100% then it's obvious that he'd add at a minimum four addition directions to the Ruffian Kick (backward, sidewises, two seconds in the future, three minutes into the past). There's no way Akuma could get around these added dimensions (seriously whats he got - forward jump and vertical jump? please...).

Advantage: Serious Cody

DBZ taught us all that weighted clothing is used to increase one's strength and/or power so obviously removing Cody's chains will unleash his hellishly amazing strength. Compare this to Akuma who is essentially wearing 'jammies (and tattered jammies at that) - those things must be really light; ergo he's a weakling.

Advantage: Serious Cody

As seen in SFA3 V-ism Cody can dodge attacks by stepping into the background for a sec. It's evident that the short duration of this escape move is a result of his restraints (both physical and self imposed). Freed of such encumbrance Cody could simply stay dodged the entire fight - Akuma couldn't even touch him!!

The real question is who would win between unchained Cody and Yamazaki using both arms.

Cody trows a rock, Akuma throws AYERS ROCK. Akuma wins, flawless victory, fatality.

donut is an unstoppable force, even to the most immovable of objects, i cannot imagine donut even breaking a sweat against the likes of akuma or cody

cody might put up a better fight, but in the end, donut will still take him down effortlessly

We haven't even seriously begun to discuss the impact of "ninja ninja ninja" Cody. I believe the ramification of this form would seriously derail any reasonable comparisons between Cody and any fictional characters with "deus ex machina" powers including Jesus and God.

Though with the recent murmurs of "Octopus on her head" Sakura floating around the Capcom rumour mill, "ninja ninja ninja" Cody may have his dominance on the cosmic scale jeopardized.

I think Cody never used his "ninja ninja ninja" power, and possibly never will, because he doesn't want his ninja friend Guy to feel ridiculously inferior. It is peculiar that a character has both such incredible strength and humble sensibility.

Considering Lovable Igniz has that cheap arse infinite chain dealie I can't imagine what crap his unlovable incarnation would pull (i.e. unblockable one hit KO while fucking your girlfriend and/or mother).
