I am of the believe that it is rather hard to maintain an everlasting friendship unless both parties work towards it. You have different "best" friends during different periods of time and maybe it's about time these two girls just went their separate ways. I have somewhat accepted this as a part of life so if any connections has been severed I will just look upon the good times we had and just remember them for that not whatever might have "torn" us apart.
