I’m stirring up hype here, but a blog from SNKP talks about characters they are planning to put back into KOF. Edit: they were talking about the development of the game, and the director, Kukino, asked the artists to draw some characters in the XIII style. I’ve also added some development images from a 4gamer article on the game.
You know, we do like console versions with an extra character or two. I know we’ll most probably get the bosses but er… you know, something new to play with would be nice, and it normally always happens that way. As Yuki Yagami pointed out, Chang looks complete, compared to the art of the other characters, which are still in sketch form… fingers crossed eh… extra hit combos would be lovely!

Oswald is the only one of those that even remotely interests me. Way to go SNKP, you managed to pick the only two girls I didn’t give a crap about ever seeing again.

There’s no real truth in this picture apart from the director asking for just one shot of these characters to be drawn in the current style. So you can rest easy, none of these characters are coming any time soon (apparently). But why would he ask in the first place? ….
Interestingly, Heidern has been in all of Ikari’s endings, even when he’s not in the game, so it’s never a good indication of whether he’ll be in the next.
I also do not want to see any pedo bait back in KOF. Kula is the limit.
Jeez, if SNK made legal aged girls look like jailbait, I can’t imagine what they’ll do to Malin and Momoko…
And who the hell keeps requesting for Chang to be back in the series? Who likes him, seriously?
As for Oswald… Meh. Just tone him down so he won’t be god tier like he was in XI.

I Would love to see those 2 girls on the console version! Malin was my main character for KOF XI and i think it would be really fun to have her back, as for Momoko, they can make her playable here, unlike in KOF XI where she is almost useless.

@KARMA Well just because a female looks really young doesn’t mean a lot all of the time. I know some very small females in their late 20′s just how they grew. Anyway what does it matter about having pedo characters? I never pick characters I don’t like and no one is ever going to like all of the characters in any game. Its been that way since sf2 for me.
