Juuza (who looks a lot like Ken since he doesn't have blue hair like the anime - ahem)
ShadowTempest reports that Juuza’s Seiyuu/Voice Actor this time around is Katsuyuki Konishi, aka Maxima from KOF and Kamina from Gurren Lagann. Rei is Takehito Koyasu, who we know as Shingo’s VA. It’s a bit of a jump, unless Rei is going to start screaming like a girl, or Takehito finally managed to stop drinking coffee. If you look at his career, you’ll see a whole load of young boys and girls, which I guess is his speciality. Vigorous perhaps, but Rei certainly wasn’t youthful.
How will this pan out? How will the fans react? I remember watching the US dubbing of the “movie” and only recently saw the original series in Japanese. Perhaps I’ve got cotton wool in my ears, but I thought the voices for Ken, Rei and most of the others suited fine, although a little corny… alright, I admit it, when I was young, I thought it was damn cool!

Koyasu-san has extremely good range in terms of the types of characters he plays. No, his specialty is not young boys, especially not these days. And as far as I know, he has never played a true (non-gag) female role. If you recall, he has played characters such as Zechs from Gundam Wing, Jade Curtis from Tales of the Abyss, Takasugi from Gintama, and recently Adam Blade from Needless. None of them scream like a girl or sound particularly young.
This page, with the images of … girls (You never know these days) around him that he voiced – are these characters then actually more mature or serious female roles? I couldn’t tell from the pictures.
