Isn’t it fun. As SNK open their 20th anniversary website, we get to see a whole load of new T-shirts available. Wait, they’ll post outside of Japan? Er…
It’s a nice read about SNK, blatantly oblivious of any other game or company that existed. I find the following passage rather intriguing:
Through a series of twists and turns, a company called Playmore (now called SNK Playmore) was established by a number of former SNK employees, who acquired SNK’s copyrights and released KOF 2001.
Er… what about Eolith? Brezzasoft? Ah, the good old dusting under the carpet, otherwise known as glossing over the past. A bit like how a Nazi would explain WWII. The new land eh? Poland? No no, we were just visiting.
The advertising gallery conjures up feelings of pseudo nostalgia, when you realise you had never actually seen these adverts with G-mantle before, but you feel like you have, and feel all proud and warm anyway. It’s good to know you’re old and still alive. Not like the MVS.
Enterbrain have the 20th anniversary t-shirts while interestingly Mars16 already made some T-shirts for the 15th anniversary – but let’s not mess around, anything that says “Gamest Generation” knows how to provoke a sale. The old skool know what I’m talking about. Arcadia? Humph!
Anyway, here are the websites, where you can have a look over SNK’s glorious history for yourself. And then get annoyed when you get led to a Japanese site and get stuck trying to buy a t-shirt. Actually, let’s see the T-shirts first.

If somehow you can order stuff in Japanese… I can’t even find the 20th anniversary t-shirt. Here’s the 15th.

And the cover of next issue of Arcadia?
THE FUTURE IS JUST NOW

It’s literally an anniversary issue, it’s going to go on and on about SNK, which is nice but er… how much will they actually say about XIII?
Thx Yuki Yagami for the heads up on the museum opening.

It’s funny that Arcadia is using so much space on advertising the neo geo, considering that snk has been having a tough time reaching the top ten most gamed arcade games since quite some while.
In another notes, the fact that the english site had glorious mistranslations is nothing but pure old school snk gold.
