Joystiq revealed these new sticks being released for KOF XII. That’s great, another chance to get the four button SNK classic stick. Er hang on, what the hell is that? Did I just see a six button layout? WTF? “Fight like a king” says the headline. Obviously the reporter has a knack for puns like he has a knack for combos i.e. WEAK (sorry dude). Every SNK fan knows you need 4 buttons in a row to play KOF. Yes, some strange people have adapted to weird 3/1 configs but the word is “adapted”. If you’re SNK, you use 4. This must be some strange design mockup – it’s certainly a mockery to my eyes. Gunsmith says “Shoot the messenger”.
XII will sell for ¥6,279 ($65) SNK Classic ¥5,229 ($54),released July 16th.
No word on whether the stick will contain SANWA parts, but if the SNK classic is made the same as the original, it’ll last for years, remember?

Pretty sure the parts aren’t Sanwa.
These guys (Exar) also made a TvC stick for the Wii which was terrible by most accounts. They also made the original NG sticks for PS2 I believe.
